don't count on a price cut this year, the fact that Sony is still losing $$ with each PS3 sold (they broke even with manufacturing cost, but factor in marketing, transportation etc its still a lost) and coupled with the weaker dollar theres really no incentive for Sony to do a price cut this year.
Yeah PS3 managed to out sell 360 by 1 million so far this year (about 4.5 month).
I'm a both fan. I like every console. Just PS3 is going to be "THE" system, which is why I'm choosing to migrate over on June 12th to the Metal Gear bundle. I saw some previews like Haze, Killzone 2, MGS4, groundbreaking stuff. 360 could never puill that off, and ps3 is just starting.

Check out Far Cry 2. It gonna be a multiplatform release but visually I think it's even more impressive than KZ2.
In 2005 I heard it would be 2006 as soon as the PS3 launched. Then there was a delay and it would overtake it by the end of 2007 for sure. Then 2008 rolls around and it still hasn't really made any major dent in 360 sales or lead. Then it was going to be Christmas 2008 but that isn't looking likely either....
So when will it be? Is it now summer 2009? Christmas 2009? Summer 2010? Sony needs to be doing double the 360 sales worldwide every month from now until 2010 to stand a chance of overtaking it so do you think this is possible?

Xbox 360 has ONLY SOLD over 18 MILLION and its going on its 3rd year. It took PS2 less time to sell MORE than what Xbox360 is selling!!!!!
SO there are a lot of PS2 gamers waiting to come to the PS3!! but when?? who knows I am sure when PS3 hits $299.00 when the slim edition comes out you will see the flood!! PS2 has sold HOW MANY?? over 150Million!! Xbox sold how many??? over 20Million!! Just wait!!

Most of the PS2 fanbase has moved onto the Wii I suspect.
Even if the PS3 starts outselling the 360, it'll take a year atleast due to the 360 have like 6 millions consoles sold. Because the 360 will always be selling so always be going up, so yeah I'm guessing it'll take awhile. maybe 2010? But I don't see why PS3 owners should be anticipating when the PS3 catchees the 360 in sales, just play your games. You've got resistance, spore, Killzone 2.leonhead
ps3 is getting spore ! i thought it was pc, if so i might have to considering buying a ps3
Current trend would suggest late 2009-early 2010. Pegging down a sure timeframe is hard when the PS3/360 wont hit a mainstream price on the premium versions until around 2009/10.
