PSVR is already a success. Haters am cry.
It's doing pretty good on Amazon US right now (currently no. 1)
when you wrote this, there was 1 comment even remotely to your point
you are a pathetic poster
Lots of dumbos moving goalposts. You think we can forget your dumb posts from before? They said this was DOA and had no chance, would get bad reviews, make everyone sick, would be unplayable and bad VR.....Vive/Rift would sell the most. They're at 300k-400k total. How many millions of PC players are out there again? Even when Vive/Rift hit 1 million combined it's still too slow. Get it through your head that new expensive tech needs a helping lift from the middle ground too, dumbass.
Every PSVR poll made in SW had "PSVR will flop" as the winning choice. It would be better if you said "maybe it might do okay, or maybe not." You come here, with your dumbass opinions, declaring with 100% mathematical certainty, like some analyst, telling us this would be DEAD-ON-ARRIVAL.
2-2.5 million for the remainder of the year is still good for such expensive tech. It's not 2.5 million total, dumbass. It's going to keep selling in 2017-2018. Even if they don't hit that number, Sony said they are not selling the PSVR at a loss, and they need at least 6% of their userbase to buy PSVR for it to be considered somewhat successful, profitable and encouraging.
I'm not trying to make this a contest. It's dumbass prick fanboys who wanted to start a war among VR headsets. Not long before the Vive was announced, you all said VR would fail and was DOA. How many goalposts is your dumbass going to move?
You're right. The dumbass fanboys keep moving goal posts.
It's what they do best.
I don't even see why people are salty about the PSVR. Even the Scorpio is going to support VR in some facet. If PSVR commercially solidifies VR gaming then it just means that whatever the Scorpio has going on is going to be supported that much more. This isn't something that should divide us. I guess that's why I enjoy seeing the doubters and the haters get rekt so much. This is really fun stuff (VR). Eve Valkyrie is turning into a serious addiction for me already. More people should join the fun imho.
So, here the same hand-full of Lemmings are. Dragging PSVR because the name on the product dares to start with PS in its name. Yet, come E3 2017, they will sound like a Greek Chorus for any and everything the next Xbox supports completely ignoring the commercial significance of what is being accomplished here in the now. I won't sugarcoat this. I think it's fucked up that people turn a blind eye to them when they do things like this. Here in the now. Not when the cows have to call them on their BS umpteen months from now or whatever.
If PSVR commercially solidifies VR gaming then it just means that whatever the Scorpio has going on is going to be supported that much more.
I'm not so sure about this. With the PSVR being sold for the PS4, developers can be fairly certain of the user base available. Unless the Project Scorpio is bundled with a headset, there's really no way to know if the ones sold for PC could be used with the system or not. Gamer tags being the same from Xbox to Windows 10 doesn't help either. MS would not only have to support it, but prove its viability with an Xbox One only VR title or two before any independent developer would risk their money on it.
How can you even argue against VR with those spots is just lol worthy your lovable xbox one s is on spot 89 losing vs 4 different PS4 sku..lol

It's official. PSVR is absolutely killing it! Gamestop's CEO is working with Sony to have product for the holidays. Shit just got real ^_^
:D Nice to hear, PSVR is awesome.
@Quicksilver128: Yes it's not too bad, problem is that it hasn't sold 2.5 million it "could" sell that many by years end not has. Did anybody actually read that part?
In the article it says that there are hundreds of thousands (no exact numbers unusual for Sony) of pre-orders, and we also know people don't always go through with their pre-orders.
Don't get me wrong, like i sad before if it does end up a success for Sony, then congrats to them. But let's wait and see how it's fairing down the road before we jump up and down and call it a success, but as you can see from some of the posts it's already to late for that, and that it's the latest and greatest thing to come to gaming.

It's already falling on Amazon, it's going to play out exactly as I thought and it's only been available for a day.
VR has shown itself to be an early adopter platform with extremely minimal post launch period adoption. Essentially, fanatics and people who really wanted it badly got it day one, people who really want it but don't have the funds right now will get it over the next month or so at a much decreased rate than launch purchases, people on the fence will wait it out for a period of 3-6 months and choose to buy it or not, and after that it will be periodic random purchases at a very low rate.
It's not going to be a successful device, it may meet launch expectations but a product like this has a very predictable blueprint for adoption and sales going forward, it will stagnate by mid November with Black Friday right around the corner and people focusing their money on other things that will be heavily discounted, also the PS4 Pro is going to cannibalize PSVR sales as well.
Sony picked an absolutely horrible launch window, they're introducing three devices in a three month period all competing for the same money, they should have launched it in the Spring.
@tormentos: my lovely Xbox One S and PlayStation 4 are both sitting right in front of me getting played ROFL. Even funnier is that my Area 51 is right here too. You realize they sell more Windows PCs in a day than they sell the cows PS4 and Lems Xbox One combined for a month. LOL
So choice to be a manticore. Makes people here squirm in a jealous rage.
@dynamitecop: Well i'm not sure what the price is for the PSVR and Pro 1TB is in NA, but here in Australia the asking price is $550 each, and you only get 8 demos with PSVR, so if you want a full game you're looking at over $600, that's insane even more so just before Xmas.
I don't even see why people are salty about the PSVR. Even the Scorpio is going to support VR in some facet....
lol because there is no MS xbox branded alternative. Pretty simple, just look at the people who are bashing and it becomes crystal clear.
I'm NOT going to buy any VR any time soon but I'm not invested enough to make long winded emotional rants crying because it looks to be the most popular VR solution available and lems are ENRAGED because of it!
lol, this thread has really brought out the bitter emotionally fragile state that lems are really in. Ha ha the goofs here are even comparing PSVR to console sales, really? lol like why not compare it to OTHER VR peripheral sales? Durp, wait that wouldn't fit the red eyed xbox fanboy agenda.
Carry on lems, making a fool of yourselves saying how you don't care about any of this while making long winded emotional rants crying about "cows" when the shit is #1 on Amazon LMAO.
A lot of people are going to be disappointed when they buy this...VR in general looks like trash, whether if Scorpio releases one or Playstation, Vive, etc

Most in general, likely won't really care. I mean I'm the very few of the Vive owners that speak so negatively of it's resolution and library, so apparently everyone else is still playing hundreds of hours in these 4 hr games and demo's without comfort and resolution being any issue so obviously the majority of PSVR crowd likely won't either...however at least some of PSVR's titles actually look good as far as being actual games that are fun to play, not the BS library that Vive has. Whoopie @ playing bow and arrow's or a 3d mock up of Space invaders or low polygon dinosaur shooting....yeeeehaaaaa. Seriously I don't understand other Vive owners lately but I definitely want to play some of PSVR's upcoming games like Robinson Journey or RE 7 so I may have to break down and get me one.
You're right. The dumbass fanboys keep moving goal posts.
It's what they do best.
I think I know why they're so mad. Gears of War 4 is #14 on there. Both the $399 and $499 versions of PSVR, which is sold out now and waiting new stock, is outselling the $60 Gears of War 4. LMAO
LOL.
lems = Rekt.
They said it was dead on arrival and its outselling everything they've got lol. They're now caught in the awkward position of either admitting PSVR is a success or that a flop is outselling their best games and console.
A lot of people are going to be disappointed when they buy this...VR in general looks like trash, whether if Scorpio releases one or Playstation, Vive, etc
I agree with a lot of people will be disappointed especially those who already tried better VR options. With that said VR will always be a novelty just like motion controls and 3D gaming where the gaming community were "hyped" but when the honeymoon smoke settled the novelty wore off too. If you have a capable smart phone and if you could put it on those VR headsets, you're better off getting those because it's cheaper but you could probably get the same VR experience. If I can't sell my PSVR from taco bell, it's going to be stored right next to my Wiimotes and original Kinect in storage.

You crack us up man. Just keep them coming!
I've been to three Gamespots since it came out and they all had plenty of them in stock. The one near my house (Lincoln & Pico) was the only one that was sold out of the bundles but still had plenty of all of the individual components. Maybe people are buying them online? But in brick and mortar GS stores theres no 'huge demand' in my area.
The way TC is painting the story its like they cant keep them in stock. If they were really selling like you say they would have sold out on launch day like the PS4 did.
We get it you love VR. But leave the PR to Sony.
One thing I want to point out is that the Kinect was once insanely popular, and look at it now. Microsoft thinks so little of it, the Xbox One S requires an adaptor to even use it.
My point is this, PSVR might very well be a hot seller out of the gate. The question is, can Sony maintain that momentum in a year or two down the line?
All I see is a fad in the making. Something that will sell like hotcakes for a short time, before people lose intrest.
We've already been down this road with the Kincet and Motion Controls. How PSVR going to do any better in the long run once the coolness factor wears off?
One thing I want to point out is that the Kinect was once insanely popular, ...
LMAO...NO! Just stop right there.
For clarification Nintendo WII was insanely popular!
Don't try to compare MS's hack effort to produce a knock off of what Nintendo initiated with motion controls as if MS was the standard of that so called "fad". No that was Nintendo and their device was "insanely popular" Kinect was always garbage that produced nothing of merit.
To highlight the point, Nintendo's wii "fad" ended up producing the highest selling console in video game history!!! Let that sink in. I don't think Nintendo had any regrets in anything they did with that "fad" when it's all said and done.
If Sony is even mildly close to the success that Nintendo saw with their fad then they will support and not have any regrets about the venture into VR.
lol at mentioning kinect here as your example smh.
I like what I've played so far. Except DriveClub demo. That looked like shit but everything else is great. I don't regret my buy.

And they are sold out at the GS next to me.
Anecdotal evidence is anecdotal. It's selling great according to Gamestop and Sony, if it wasn't selling well they wouldn't be reporting it and it wouldn't be charting so high on Amazon.

You been to where? Three Gamespot? What the hell man?
Oh you mean Gamestop, well anyways, I live in Atlanta GA, the one that's near my house are sold out and are back-order from the manager told me and I can confirm it's also still back-order from Amazon. I guess it depends on where ya live.

Well it available right now on line at GameStop. Funny your stores is all sold out but online has plenty! They probably only ordered two to sell in the store!

@rrjim1: I never buy anything online from Gamestop, I didn't even think about ordering online but like I said, I guess it depends on where you live.
So it's a hit or a miss in my hometown, interesting but I'm sure they'll be back in stock after the holidays has passed by and PS4 back at launch was so hard to find as well.
Well, it has rounded out the opening weekend with two spots in the Top 20 on Amazon (US). Looks like people are liking what they are seeing. I don't think demand for this will match the PS4 itself at launch, but it certainly doesn't seem to be an abandon ship situation by any stretch of the imagination. I've been playing with mine all weekend and it's just a really good experience all around! This makes me real happy and I hope everyone else has enjoyed their weekend as well :)

You don't even play games, yet spend your days bashing away at Microsoft as if you're getting a check from Sony...lol
VR probably wont be worth the asking price for another year or two at least. And Sony's half assed cash grab attempt at it doesnt seem any more appealing than the other two main units of VR. So i really dont see this going anywhere. At least the vita has games(And is overall a nice console in my opinion), and Sony quit on that without really trying first.

That would've been insane... I think they can be happy with 1-2mil sales in 2016.
