Not too surprising (for me at least).

The games are still the main reason I think PS3 will win this gen.

No it is not made up. It isn't saying DMC4 is exclusive. It is saying that the japanese are interested in the ps3 version, not the x360 version.

The Everybody's Golf franchise was huge on the PS2. It is also popular on the PSP and is definitely a must-have game for the Japanese on the PS3. They are up to the 5th edition now. It is called Hot Shots Golf in America BTW.

Only 2 of those are excluisves, MGS4 and Grand Turismo, plus Lost odyssey is in 12th spot and a 360 exclusive, unlike FF13

Just say no to the drugs amigo. FFXIII and FFXIII vs. is exclusive, but the overall universe of products will be around for 10 years on multiple formats. Monster Hunter = exclusive. MSGS = exclusive. Hot Shots Golf 5 is a bleeping Sony made game.

Even if they were multi-plat however, it doesn't matter for this list because the Japanese despise the X360 as shown by the way they chose the PS3 version of DMC. If LO were multi-platform, then we'd so no X360 game on their most favorite list.

 In suspect that in the Americas, Europe, & rest of the world, the list won't be as great for Sony.  That list does nothing for me, since it does not have Mass Effect, Halo 3, Forza 2, & maybe even Too Human.  Outside of that xenophobic island, all three companies are doing alright. 

besides it's not 90's anymore, Japan is no longer the center of the universe.  (game developement and sales wise, of course)

btw, how many Final Fantasy's is one too many?  I got over that series after FF9.  I swear FF games take about a quarter of that list.  Rubbish!!

BTW famitsu polls are from 2000 users or less in total, mean nothing really, just that the hardcore need a PS3

LMAO! A poll on Famitsu readers has never been anything close to representative of the whole market, only about 5% of the hardcore market, if that. And it doesn't extrapolate into the whole market well at all. Nintendo's massive turn around only gave them a minor improvement on the Famitsu "most wanted".

If the final games can live up to the Japanese expectations when released, no doubt we'll see some impressive results for Sony overall by the end of the year.larshaun

Nope, nothing like. "Impressive results". Gundam Mosou and Virtual Fighter 5 gave it small sales spikes that evened out. FF and MGS4 will likely give it big sales spikes which will then even off. It's obvious.

Japan gamers aren't looking forward to the X360 versions of RE5 and DMC3, that's why Famitsu has them listed for the PS3.larshaun

Those games havent even come out yet for the PS3 and when they do, it will sell like crazy, just like it will when GTA4 hits the streets here.
