Sony leads with 13 of 20 titles on 'Most Wanted' games list by Japanese players

To be really honest, what was more impressive to me was the presence of a 360 game on the list. For a country so adamant in seeing the console fail, it's very surprising to see Lost Odyssey. I guess there must be an underground Japanese community of a few hundred thousand 360 players..

Is anyone here a native of Japan that would actually care about this list? Didnt think so.

That list isn't representative of the Japanese game market.  Simple as that.

Okay, you've probably got me on a technicality there.  Australia or something is PlayStation's weakest region.  The point is that PlayStation is performing better in North America and Europe than it is in Japan.  Of the big three regions, Japan is where PlayStation is weakest.

Expectations of hardcore gamers =/= market performance.

I don't think you understand how bad Sony has it in Japan right now.  They're on a direct course towards being less relevant in the region than Nintendo was last generation. 

Either there are TONS of japanese people in this thread alone, or there are TONS of people who don't live in Japan who have nothing better to talk about than a consoles success in Japan.

And some people say that Japan doesn't matter. It sure does for me because otherwise, I wouldn't be anticipating these games.
