They have great devs and the best IPs out there imo, but I don't know about best in the industry, some of best sure, but I just don't know who the best are.

But The Conduit is a great example of how motion controls are properly implemented, as itcontrolled better than every, yes every other console FPS to date. Apart from Crytek though, then it would have to be ND and GG for their feats of creating such brilliant graphics (arguably the best on the PS3 and 360) on a console with such limited hardware.

You don't think they're the most talented when it comes to graphics? If you're talking artistically, then I would agree, but based on technical prowess then Crytek would be the undisputed #1.

Naughty Dog and Guerilla Games are some of the most talented developers in the industry today. Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 are the most immersive, atmospheric games yet released on consoles. Their games are the only games that deserve to be called HD. Both run at 720p with 2xAA and the best character design and animations seen today.

This gen, Sony managed to dismantle the graphics giants of last gen. ND and GG have outclassed Epic and even Valve in graphics and gameplay. Uncharted 2 makes Gears 2 look like a launch game. This gen, all Valve has done is complain about the ps3's architecture while releasing a left 4 dead game every year on a 2004 engine. To say they are past their prime would be an understatement.

Graphics, yeah, although Rareware used to be able to cram near impossible things out of consoles. Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64 is stilla miracle. But we all know what happened to Rare.

But I was mainly refering to gameplay and artistic design when I made that comment. Those are the number one aspects I care about in games. Good graphics are nice, but definitely not necessary for me to enjoy a game. And it happens that I found Crysis, for example, poor in terms of artistic design (because there basically is none most of the game), and unsatisfying from a gameplay perspective, although the latter seems to be personal as a lot of people disagree on that.

I don't think GG will be, that means they probably wont top 1000 games sold :P. Seriously though I don't actually know anybody that owns a 3D TV, it just doesn't seem to be taking off too well from what I have seen (in the UK anyway).

I'm just gonna say no. I do like Naughty Dog but they are nowhere near top 2.

Please, GG made only one good game this gen. Other than the Killzone series what else can they show? As much as I enjoyed Killzone 2, GG is no top developer of this generation let alone the industry. Naughty Dog seems arguable, still they have not made much games to be consired a top dev like Valve, Blizzard, Bungie, Bioware, Rockstar.

Well, I love Naughty Dog and I have for a long time. I loved Crash Bandicoot when I was younger, what can I say? But GG? Killzone 2 was great but when that's the only thing you have to identify your company then I can't at all say they're among the best.

Much in the same way I love Bungie, but all they've made this gen is Halo. Great games, but I think when I identify devs I have to look at everything they make (since you said this gen, just focus on current gen titles). Like Insomniac, which has Rathet&Clank and Resistance. Can finally love Blizzard again since Starcraft II is right around the corner (still want Diablo 3 damn it!) and they're not completely focused on WoW anymore. Dice gave me Battlefield and Mirror's Edge. Bioware with Mass Effect 1&2 and Dragon Age AND The Old Republic coming out soon still impresses me thoroughly.

Now if we're talking total career wise, then GG definitely falls short. We'll bring id, Valve, Bethesda, Nintendo, Capcom, and tons others into the mix that overshadow GG. But since you said this generation and unique gameplay, can we just say Rocksteady and what they did with Batman?

I agree with Naughty Dog since they've made many quality games over the years but Guerilla has really only impressed with Killzone 2. Killzone 1 was a decent game but nothing special. Has GG made anything else that I'm not aware of?

Also, I'd say that Bioware is one of the best devs

Isn't Crytek mainly a PC dev? If so, then they just develop for the more powerful platform. As of now, the best game graphically on PC is Crysis, and the best game graphically on consoles is Uncharted 2. You can't really compare Naughty Dog and Crytek unless they develop for the same system at the same time. You could compare Crysis 2 on PS3, and Uncharted 2, but the games are a year apart, so Crysis 2 is bound to look at least a little better. I'd say both are just about even TBH. Both ND, and Crytek make the best graphics for the system they are best at.

Every developer out there should make a new character and then just make all the rest of their games about that character and his friends. Then they will be considered excellent developers. Hey it works for Nintendo
