What is interesting is how PS3 fanboys are claiming how PS3 will be the long term winner. For that to happen at some point between now and the future the Wii and 360 will have to cease to exist or at least cease making games so that PS3 can catch up. But thats not even close to being reality. While PS3 technically has a hardware edge over the 360 making it *Future Proof* that means nothing if developers don't care. One can say that GCN and Xbox were future proof since they were superior than the PS2 but that didn't when the war.

What ever system is putting out the best games in the NOW wins the war, not what system has the best game lineup three years from now. The only thing Sony can do from PS3 flopping is to learn from their mistakes, which is a good thing.

If something was release after ME and you wouldn´t in any way have to wait for it, then it had to be release at the same time as ME, thus contradicting your earlier statement about it being AFTER. If you think PS3 fans looking for the future (which is a good thing BTW), alot of 360 fans are looking and living in the past( including you, it is unhealthy BTW), PS3 has games NOW, Im enjoying my PS3 NOW.

I'm tired of all these damn lemmings bashing cows for having no sense. So here it is, I'm gonna keep it real. The PS3 being future proof is worth peanuts to me. Even if the PS3 continues improving on graphics while the Xbox360 reaches it's limits. It doesn't matter because can always make a new console.

The PS2 was successfull because of it's huge third party support. There was several games for every genre and everyone was happy. But times have changed. Even though it's great that I can replay my old PS2 games on my PS3. It's not exciting anymore. The thrill is gone and it's all about the next-gen of games now.

The No.1 reason to buy a PS3 should be exclusive games because the multiplats don't look better than Xbox360's. The PS3 needs a better online service, more games and a lower price. Period!

You speak of multiplats like they are a bad thing, as long as BIG franchises like DMC, Silent Hill and RE are multiplat, I have no reason to buy a PS3.

Then you have all the PC/360 exclusives like Alan Wake, Universe at War, World in Conflict, Left 4 Dead etc.

You may cry out those PC games are multiplat all you like, but Bioshock wouldn't have sold 3/4 of a million units on 360 if the market was not there. If we all owned gaming PCs, there would be no reason to release games like Oblivion or The Orange Box on consoles.

Just to add, a ton of PS's biggest hits were technically multiplat. Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, GTA, Resident Evil etc were all on the PC. It didn't stop them from being big hits on the PS1/2.

In the end, 360 has a GREAT 2008 lineup. Alot are multiplat, either 360/PS3 or 360/PC but owners of the system will have PLENTY to play.

Which is why I want to buy this console, because I know years into the future I will still be able to play my PS3 games. It is a console that can actually last and does not die 33% of the time.

However Sony needs a lot more, where are the good games? I look at what I can buy on the 360 that is already out and then I look at the PS3 and all the games I want have not arrived yet.

Yes, but by the time they come out it will be 2009. And why do I need to buy a PS3 now, when in 2009 I'll buy a better version (probably slim who knows) and a less expensive version also.

There isn't anything wrong when games go multiplat, in a matter of fact, I think AC will have a good chance to be GOTY, but everygamer will be playing multiplats on thier systems, I have 360 and PS3 and I've waited along time to enjoy both consoles this year, the waiting problem wasn't only for PS3, 360 was collecting dust until Bioshock came( I didn't play 360 after I finished GeOW, almost a year waiting for the next big thing, Bishock in other words), I think it will be collecting dust again after ME comes out, in the other hand, I see great games coming all the way from this month to Q2 2008 for PS3, so I think tables will turn on 360.

As for quility releases, Im looking forward to two games, LO and NG2, nothing less, NOTHING MORE, yes I said it, NOTHING MORE.

only3 of those are exclusive - you just proved my point: until MGS4, there is no reason for me to get a PS3 (yes, i've played all three, andonly NG:s is worth writing home about- heavenly sword looks great, but i want more than a 6 hour game). also, someone already gave the list of 360 titles coming. but i'll be redundant -
