Its already hit 2 million :|
This is the number of units they expect it to sell from April 2012 through March 2013, not its total lifetime sales. Come on, you cows can't be this stupid, especially since you were always the first to call sheep out on it whenever they attempted to use similar arguments. Also, the Vita has not sold 2 million, it's still at 1.8 million, which is a whole 10% less than the 2 million you think it's sold.It sold 1.8 million as of march . Are you saying it hasnt sold 200k in 2 months ? And I dont ever call out sheep on sales arguments . Stop grouping me with everyone else. The 3ds will sell like hot cakes its a childrens toy with a price on it that almost any kid can afford.
And in all honesty if they do a massive price drop sometime around the holidays and annouce some good games at E3 it would have no problem at ll hitting 10 million. The PS3 sold over 3.5 million in that 3 month span and it was about 5 years old.

You honestly think it will sell that much without any games? It needs games before it will sell. Call of Duty, Bioshock, and Assassins Creed won't cut it.[QUOTE="AM-Gamer"][QUOTE="charizard1605"] This is the number of units they expect it to sell from April 2012 through March 2013, not its total lifetime sales. Yeah but they need games that appeal to the average Joe, a exclusive Monster Hunter might cut it in Japan but I doubt that would happen. If they showed Call Of Duty and Monster Hunter for the Vita then bam Japan and Western market in the bag, but come on Sony has never been the *smart player* in this industry.

The difference is that people can justify paying that much for a console, the Vita is too pricey for a handheld, if they want to sell 10 million units in a year they will need a hefty price drop, without one it ain't selling anywhere near 10 million units regardless of how many good games are released on it.I'm going with the latter as they really aren't in the position for a price cut. They either have a seious lineup and pricecut under their sleeves or theyre flat out dilusional.

I guess you have to be when your company is hemorrhaging money. Anything you can to keep the stock from dropping any further.
This. It is nothing but a ploy to (attempt to) calm investors down. There is no way on earth Sony believes they are going to sell 10 million VITAs this year, no matter how much they "Make Belive".Please Log In to post.
