In other words, the sun will rise tomorrow. The PS4 is simply running away with this generation. There really is no other way to put it. Looking forward to picking one up soon to keep my Xbox One and Wii U company.

It's OK, you'll be able to enjoy the same feeling next gen if MS don't mess up again.

At least the Japanese market isn't as boring even though it's really one sided right now for Nintendo in both the console and handheld markets. Maybe you will get your excitement eventually.
Console gaming is dead in Japan anyway. So Japan doesn't really matter anymore when you look at the bigger picture.
Even the handheld market there isn't really doing great. Mobile gaming is really dominating Japan...
The only markets that matter are EU, US and other smaller terretories.

Lol at Sony, almost a whole generation they tried to keep their sales numbers from the public or hid them in overall Sony family numbers but now they are ahead they even spill the beans early .
July NPD data is coming soon, and Sony has revealed that the PlayStation 4 has come out on top in the US yet again.

With Drive Club and Little Big Planet 2014 and The Order 1886 and BLOODBORNE all coming within a 6 month period I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Sony is showing that when they are in the lead, they actually bring the games. That is the difference between MS and Sony
when a game most gamers call it GOTG and one of the best games ever and it's the most awarded game in history too and sold over 7 million on ps3 alone outselling both Uncharted 3 and gears 3
you know it's popular .....and i'm damn happy about that not just because it's my favorite game ever but because it's New IP which prove New IPs can sell not just sequels and i hope developers take note and start making more new ips

Fastest selling ever for MS? The original Xbox was an unknown and came late to the party. Takes time to make a name....logical a successor would sell more. The 360 I believe had the demand....but not the supply. X1 has had supply....should sell faster. And for those reasons that PR term is relatively useless.

Those aren't gimmicks....those are features. Don't knock it until you have experienced it. I'm using the console the way MS intended it to be used and it works great. Games are always number one for me that's why I always get both and have a gaming PC so I don't miss out but the Xbox One offers more than just games.

Since PS4 alone is outselling both XBoxes combined in America I'd say all that talk about people waiting to leap to XBone is debunked as ****.
People need to look at these NPD numbers in perspective. This is still just the American market. Worldwide, the distance between the two is far greater.
If people hope TLOU: Remastered fails (to send a message to the industry), then you probably want GTA V PC to fail, and Halo: Masterchief Collection to fail. This remastered and reissue business needs to stop!
But I know the Lemmings want their Halo:MCC and the Herms want their GTA V:PC editions badly. They'd be sad as hell if MS and Rockstar cancelled those games. What a bunch of hypocrites.
And if it's a shame that a remaster (TLOU) is #1, it means Lems and Herms and Sheep have shit all themselves in the Top 10 to lock out TLOU:R. Every time I look at the NPD Top Ten charts every month, I never see it completely full of PC exclusive titles or Wii U titles. They claim their platforms are superior to the worthless, no-game-having PS4, and the PC/X1/Wii U are leading by example. What example? I see lots of quiet droughts, lots of similar waiting, and a lack of firm, established presence in the charts from platforms supposedly "hopping with more activity" than the barren PS4. The way they talk up their own platforms, I'm almost expecting a flourishing renaissance over there. Yeah right. Keep dreaming.

Wow, the lemmings really have given up. Last month broke them.
Not bashing the Xbone, but they kinda played their hand and nothing changed. Titanfall failed to be the gamechangers that Gears of War was for the 360, they dropped the price of the console and outside of a small boost, nothing. At this point, their only real ace left is Halo 5 and given the fans mixed reaction to 4, I have my doubts that even that will give the console an adrenaline rush.
