He's taking the SCEI role. He will be a part of the Playstation business in a different manner.LiquidMetal14

If this is true:Â
The Playstation has killed it's father...
The first of many casualties of the ps3.
i can't wait to hear how the cows twist this to be good news.
Face it; when this happens, when HE is responsible for everything from the architecture, business model, and strategy of the ps3, only a completely insane person would say this is a good sign for sony and the ps3.
and for those who don't think this was forced have no idea how executive leadership works.
sorry, but he deserves it, imo.
Â
It's kinda sad, really. The guy had some genius ideas. The only problem was, he was an engineer, and didn't always think about things like cost. Hence, the technically proficient, yet $600, ps3.Â
But still, if it wasn't for him, no ps1 or ps2. Not to mention the ps3 IS worth th emoney, if you have the money, and you have a use for the wi-fi, movie playback, etc.
WOW.
I wonder what Dual shockin has to say about this (the guy who had 'i will take a bullet for kutaragi')?Â

The creator of the PS is an idiot? Not quite sure this is accurate.Â
anyone releasing a $600 is an idiot.
yes he did father the ps, but lost sight of what's paramount in gaming.
GAMING.

Yeah, I think this is a resignation from his previous reorganization.[QUOTE="dhjohns"][QUOTE="cooler890"]its about time Sony got rid of that idiottango90101

Again, I hear the complaints, but I wouldn't go so far to say the creator of the PS gaming system is an idiot. As some otherone who posted stated he is an engineer. Sony should have given him better support and not try and sneak blu-ray into everyone's home.  So in fairness the blunder should fall on Sony, not Ken.

Fall of the Roman EmpireTheOwnerOner
Ten years of PS ownage has created some angry sheep.
I wonder what 5 years of nintendo ownage will do to cows?
Â
I feel saddened. He did give us the ps1 and ps2 don't forget. Sure he was a wacky guy and a little too ambitious with the PSP and PS3 designs but I have feeling that they both will be looked upon as successes. The PSP is getting their foot in the door with handheld gaming and the ps3 is going to fairly well imo over the next 8 years. He helped make SW a fun place with his quotes.Â
*Sigh*ah-nar-ah Krazy Ken.

I agree. Sony's leadership should have reigned in his decisions or at least did some kind of research before throwing a hailmary pass at $600 a pop.
Bluray is ken's baby.. he was the mouthpiece for it for a long time, which was always goofy since he was a gaming guy...
this proof that sony's leadership are ineffectual and ken paid the ultimate price... but hey, the ps3 was ken's idea.... so the blame shuold be shared.
[QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"]Sounds like J. Allard got his wish.gmastersexay
And you don't here too much of him anymore either.
He really did get promoted (unlike Ken). J Allard is:
;)Â
I was afraid this would happen. Sony can deal the hits, but can't take the damage. Nintendo is a veteran battle tank.NocturnalDemon
it's long overdue.Â
