I would rather use rechargeable batteries. The power lasts longer then the PS3 controller and when I need to recharge the PS3 controller I need to stop gaming. I do not like sitting 3 feet from the TV while it charges since the cord is so dang short. When my 360 batteries need recharging it takes like 2 minutes tops since I just walk over to the drawer and pop in two batteries that are already charged.CanYouDiglt

Yes, TC is hours late. Like I said in that thread. I have plenty of rechargeable batteries to use on the X1 controller I buy for my PC.

Will not need battery for xbox for 5 year, MS stop game support after 2-3 year just like original xbox and 360. Can control tv feature by voice.

I see. So asking you a straightforward question which is totally relevant to your post elicits an accusation of 'butthurt'.

You see, I've used the internet before and I know exactly what such a response means - it means that you don't have anything meaningful to contribute, that's fine.

Actually you are the one that comes across butthurt since you responded to my post with a pic that has nothing to do with what I said but were hoping to bash the Xbox. Those are not rechargeable and even if they were you only need two or in my case 4 so 2 are always charged.

you can get longer USB cables for less than $2 on the Internet, that's not a valid excuse to still be using AA batteries.

Still I would often then be basically be playing with a wired controller when like I said it takes two minutes tops to change batteries. So either I buy rechargeable batteries or I buy a longer cord and in the end the batteries would still be the option I would prefer. Also for a cord to reach my TV to my sofa will not cost $2.

Its ironic that one complains about out of date tech.......when being tethered to the console is much worse imo :P

There's really is no reason you have to be tethered to your console, I used to switch between two controllers so I was always wireless, then one day I thought, I should just set my PS3 to shut itself off when idol for a set amount of time, now when I'm done playing I just plug in the controller and when it's done charging the PS3 shuts off. Now I always have fully charged controllers that never run out of juice (unless you want to play for 30-40+ hours.)

[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"] yep it certainly sucked with my 360 cons two AA batteries or play and charge kit I got over 30 more hours gametime than my ps3 con.mems_1224

You paid extra for the play and charge kit. You can just charge your PS3 controller while you're playing.

unless the battery completely dies, the you gotta pay another $60 for a new controller

This "PS3 battery dies, and it kills the remote" conspiracy must be complete BS or it was some small batch of controllers that were defective. I have four controllers, one of them was included with a launch console, and the rest of them were bought separately over the years, all of them have been fully discharged at one time or another, and they all still work fine.

Battery pack or batteries. Don't really have any problems with either. At least you can charge the battery packs and play at the same time. The XBox 360 came with the batteries as well. Meh, who cares? People are reaching.

As Sony was doing when they got arrogant with the PS3 release. I used to be a very pro Microsoft gamer and still hold the original console to the highest regards. Sick of being nickel & dimed though.
