[QUOTE="Ne-Plus-Ultra"][QUOTE="mems_1224"] unless the battery completely dies, the you gotta pay another $60 for a new controllermems_1224
This "PS3 battery dies, and it kills the remote" conspiracy must be complete BS or it was some small batch of controllers that were defective. I have four controllers, one of them was included with a launch console, and the rest of them were bought separately over the years, all of them have been fully discharged at one time or another, and they all still work fine.
batteries die. sony's batteries aren't immune and everlasting I'll say it again, I have a controller from launch that still works fine.
Also, I'm not one of the idiots out there who don't know how to use a screwdriver, so when the time comes (and it doesn't look like it's coming anytime soon) I'll replace the battery.
Plus I never tried this but I've heard many people say that Sony will send you a new battery for free, or you could just buy one yourself for $3.99 every 5-10 years, I've even seen them on ebay for $1.99.
