Hardly. This is old i believe.

But all the same, hes just throwing mud. HD DVD and Blu-Ray will be at it for a long time, mainly because no one cares and the majority are happy with DVD.

Even if HD DVD was to die, unlike Sony microsoft has not shuved it down peoples throats - It's optional. No reason why they can't make a Blu-Ray player later down the line, although i can't see it happening because by the time this generation of consoles is over we'll only just be starting to see a clear winner between formats, imo.

This is the one reason why i avoid sony, there attitude stinks.

Actually for all intensive purposes HD DVD is dead. For it to survive MS would need to start making it a standard on their 360's. And they're not going to. And he is right. Maybe a lot of people don't like it and like xbox, but it's true. They've already been making different consoles since the origional 360's release. Xbox consoles aren't long-lasting consoles before they make a new one.

Excuse me? So now we are projecting into the future that he is right? Nope sorry he is wrong. Even if HD_DVD dies next year he will still be wrong. He said "within a few months". Time has passed he is wrong. And I could care less about the 360 skus. I have enjoyed mine since launch and the games it has. I can barely keep up with all the games coming out. I have not been impressed with the PS3 at all. The most play it has gotten from me was a PS2 title, GOW2. I hope this all starts to change this afternoon when I buy Warhawk. Sony needs better games not better hype.

not to mention the EU has over 70% penetration by HD DVD while HD DVD players continue to outsell bluray players in NA.

don't give me the, "BLOORAY MOVIES ARE SELLING MORE", b.s... since they are counting the free bundled movies wiht the ps3 as sales and stats have less than half of ps3 even aware of the bloooray player in the ps3...;)

if ms made it standard, they'd be in last place...

If the Playstation fanbase is 125 million, how come only 5 million people have bought the PS3?

Playstation 1 shifted 120 million. Less than 10% of them bought a PS2 within the same time period. They first waited for a) Games b) Price drop.

Once they had both, the bought the PS2. Its the same thing here, whether you like it or not. Also, the PS3 has only been out 5 Months in the PAL regions.

And the original Xbox didn't have a 33% failure rate - even then it only shifted 24 million.
