The online will be fine, painting is sacrificed for better racing, auction house isn't something I care about, and it's not like we don't have damage in Gran Turismo 5.

That's because EA doesn't know how to make racing games. Polyphony is a racing game maker. Thus, it'll improve NASCAR tenfold.

Codemaster has had the exclusive F1 license for about 8 months now. F1 won't be in GT5. Codemaster has a F1 specific game coming out next year….All eyes are on them to not screw that up…

I couldn't agree more with your post….The only thing I would disagree on is GTR....

Don't get me wrong GTR/2 is a fine game and spot on accurate.....but I feel Rfactor and iracing are the two battling for the most accurate..

What I really want is a new build for GTR3 that incorporates RTR…….This looks very promising andI look foward to how they apply thenew tech

You could have heard Sony/Poly say that before they lost the license to Codies…In fact I am sure yea did …GT5P did have the F2007 and they probably had full intentions of representing the entire field..

I don't agree with Codies being the best SIM developer out there..That would go to Simbin/ iMs / LFS Team / etc.

Don't get me wrong…. I love Coadies games..,but they are not proper SIMs..

I agree and SimBin and LFS are highly modable aswell which is a bigger bonus :P and simulate racing even better than both GT5 and Forza 3 even though they dont look as good when it comes to the actual nitty gritty they are better.

in terms of sheer power it was much better than PS2, it was a 800mhz Pent3 spinoff and an Nvidia Geforce 3.PS2 was a lot lower and coupled with the fact the Xbox used directX api's i was surprised at the amount of cruddy ports it got even though i owned both last gen.

It was not always used to its max sometimes, also i feel its lifespan was cut far too short i got my xbox in late 03 and was a little miffed how quick support faded for the system.

The interesting thing is they appear to want to license the Tech out..say to Poly/T10 etc…

I think in the next few years we will see a lot more proper sims (LFS2/GTR3/Rfactor2) and they will be epic…

Wow, give some respect. Gran Turismo is the original Sim racer. Back in the PSX days. Definitely not arcade.

I wouldn't say FM3 will be the best racer on any system this gen. I would, however, say it will more likely outscore GT5.

Well, I have played to death GT1, 2,3 and 4 and 5 prologue. GT was certainly the king then. But Forza combines the accessibily of arcade racer yet retains the sim-style driving of GT5 and then some.

What kind of TV do you play on becuase it's not any AA issues on my TV in Forza 3. Looks really good.

Look I'm really excited for Forza 3...I think it looks good...but those first shots you posted are bullshots. There will be no racing game that looks that clean in-game this gen..I promise

what does it matter if theyre bullshots or done in MS paint or w.e. it has nothing to do with the quality of the game

Can you tell me what score it gets on GS? Also, can I get the winning lotto numbers? I mean really. How can you make such bold statements when it's real competition isn't even finished yet. (in fact, at TGS they were saying it's only 65% complete). Can we hold off on the wild speculations about this gen until this gen is actually over? Again, FM3 looks absolutely amazing. Definitely racing GOTY '09. But GT5 will probably, possibly get GOTY for '10. So... whatever.
