Fanboys need to stop using the whole year head start as an excuse. The 360's year head start didn't stop the Wii from catching up and surpassing the 360 did it? The PS3 isn't in last because of the head start, it's in last because it's too expensive and doesn't have a game library that can stand up to the competition.myke2010

I also don't consider the Wii inferior to the other 2 systems. However, for the purposes of this argument, the Wii doesn't matter, because the issue was whether the 360's 1 year lead mattered in terms of PS3 sales. The fact that the Wii overtook the 360 has nothing to do with whether the PS3 will, because the Wii is a different beast. Do you see the PS3 selling out constantly like the Wii? No. Is it nearly as cheap? No. The PS3 is competing along the same lines as the 360 (HD multimedia gaming), whereas the Wii is competing by thinking outside said box. Basically what I'm trying to say is, the 360 and PS3 are in direct competition for who will be the top HD console of this generation. It remains to be seen whether that console will also eventually come out on top overall.

That's only because of a recent surge due to the price drop. The PS3 was lagging in sales consistently behind all systems including the Gameboy Advance for months.

Who is a Microsoft Fanboy? Just because I own a 360 doesn't mean I'm obligated to own every Microsoft console that is released. Unlike Sony fan boys who feel the need to buy every system with the PS brand logo on it. I could easily pick up a PS3 if I felt the need, or hell, just not buy a new system.
The case usually is that by the time the new systems come out, you are ready to move on to the next-gen.

No it isn't. The PS3 had a Fire Sale ($100 Price Drop) and there were "Buy a PS3 get 5 Blu-Ray DVDs!" offers going around. Yet they still couldn't surpass the 360? Imagine now that the 360 has a price drop, let alone that one of the most, if not then the most, anticipated game titles ever is coming out.

Oh my God! Ratchet & Clank and Haze! Heaven forbid UT3 was coming to the 360 (when we don't have so many AAA titles coming out) and Rock Band coming to the 360.

I accept that many of the PS3's big hitters are coming out in 2008, but I also accept that it will most likely just catch up to the 360's end of 2007 lineup. It's as if every PS3 owner thinks that after 2007, XBOX 360 has no 2008 exclusives.
I honestly think it's too early to make any calls for 2008. Wait until the end of the holiday season before making predictions.

The clearence sale was just in NA and not the rest of the world where the PS3 out sold the 360. And there have been some main stream developers dropping the 360 and developing on the PS3 (GTA5) will be on the PS3 along with more to come. It may lead to other games going to the PS3 (even the ones slated for the 360 already).
It's called Move On To Nex-Gen ;).....MS dumped the Xbox and it's bringing them sucess in the NEXT-GEN business, Sony is still stuck with the PS2....Mmmm wonder why?
