[QUOTE="MercenaryMafia"]Nah. GTA V > IVSlimmin360http://www.gamespot.com/search/?qs=GTA+4+review We'll see if GTA V gets a perfect 10 from Gamespot, like IV did.
Not really a fair comparison considering that V was reviewed by a different reviewer and is being held to higher standards than IV. IV was released five-and-a-half years ago. Standards can change quite a bit in a few years.

Not to mention the hype for IV was incredibly high. Just like GTA V, but V actually met the hype.
Both are the same sh*t basically steal cars, boobs, cursing and guns... casuals and their boring games sigh

The driving is better and you can go to fast food places are the only things that are better in GTA IV, i have to play V more and we'll see, i like it more than IV already though.TheGuardian03
Too bad they brought arcade driving back, i liked GTA IV's driving a lot.

On top of that GT4 sucked even when comparing it to SA I don't think some people fully understand what it means to get 10/10. GTA4 deserved it's 10/10 because it was genre-defining. At the time there was no game that had the level of detail that GTA4 had and it set the standard which was improved upon in RDR and GTAV.
It's only me :P, deleted 'cause it seems to bother you.All these "blog it" posts. I think this is legitimate discussion on which GTA they prefer. I enjoy reading people's responses (other than the "blog it"'s). So please, let the discussion continue.Â

I seriously hope not.
My relationship with the GTA series has always been hot and cold, but GTA4 almost killed off any interrest in it for me. If 5 is worse then that horrible pile of [insert word here] that was GTA4? Then I think I will pass alltogether -.-

Well i've had GTA V since launch and i gotta say i like GTA IV better, I like the story better, the characters better, and especially the neighborhood of Liberty City better.
Don't care about any graphical upgrades, or mission upgrades, or anything else they tried to improve on....To me it looks and plays very similar, but the whole game is just alot more raunchier and there's always an F--this and F---that every other word.
I mean c'mon i know it's a GTA game, but it's almost as if the writers couldn't find anything else to put in the script besides, F---, Homy, or Dog.
I gotta say this is one of those sequels where it's predeccesor blows it away IMO anyway, it just goes to show, just because something's new doesn't mean it's better.
GTA fanboys might disagree, but i'm going back to GTA IV tomorrow, i really don't know how much gameplay my GTA V copy will get but it won't be much.

I have played GTA IV on PS3 (before I sold mine) and currently have it for PC. I really like the game, yet, despite not having played GTA V, I think GTA V is better based on what I've seen of it, particularly the gameplay videos uploaded by theRadBrad.
I absolutely love GTAIV and usually come to its defense in a valiant fashion.
GTAV wipes the goddamn floor with it. You'd have to be partially brain dead to think it's the inferior title.
I liked driving better in IV. I'm in a honeymoon phase with GTAV though, it's hard for me to be objective.getyeryayasoutthe driving was ass in IV, so unless you like pretending you are always on a boat, it can be factually stated that driving in gta V was 100x better than it was in IV. The ONLY thing IV has over V is flying, because Rockstar decided to add goddamn air turbulence or some shit that makes it annoying to handle helicopters or planes even with 100/100 flying skill.
Yeah right real crap....that's why Gamespot gave it a 10 right?....Yeah your not too bright are ya'?IV was crap.
It was a degression of the GTA series and not Progression like GTA V is.

OMG with the Blog crap already.....NOBODY READS BLOGS!!!!, if you want to debate a topic it has to get posted here. You're an idiot.I think I could relate to GTA IV's protagonist more, the whole "nice guy who has to do bad things to get ahead" is more relatable than three guys who are basically all pretty hardcore criminals. But everything else is better in GTA V. The customization options alone make it better.

Literally 50 of GTA IV's 100 missions were chase missions. Â GTAV only had a handful.
Not to mention your friends nagging you to hangout.
Thing about Niko as a compelling protagonist, the story hit it's peak the moment Niko confronted the guy he was hunting half way through the game. After that, there wasn't much of a story sucked ass. And frankly, I don't need a sympathetic main character when the game encourages killing people.

When you reach that point, the story really feels great, after that it just seems unecessary, could have made a better story, to be honest.
There is nothing gta4 does better than 5.... TheEroica
Better radio stations? I don't remember loving GTA4's music, but i know i didn't HATE it like GTA5's music. It is garbage. Who are the idiots at Rockstar responsible for this? There is like 20 stations and they have 4 songs each. It is annoying and I hate it. Should have had less stations and better songs in each. They seriously did not spend any money for the music in this game like they did in VC back in the day. Heck, even SA has a better soundtrack.
