There is nothing gta4 does better than 5.... TheEroicaThe only thing I can think is the body damage on cars in IV is more devastating than V
[QUOTE="freedomfreak"]The driving's also better in GTAIV.foxhound_foxYou must not have played any previous GTA's. I have.
I have. then you must not have played GTA V. I have.[QUOTE="freedomfreak"][QUOTE="foxhound_fox"] You must not have played any previous GTA's.Jonwh18
then you must not have played GTA V. Jonwh18This. Or be totally and utterly corrupted by IV. The driving in V is straight out of SA. It gets tighter and better as your skill increases. Also depends on what kind of car you are driving.

The car handling in GTAIV was great. From being chased by cops to racing online. The driving in SA and GTAV(which is better than SA) is boring. It depended on what car you were driving in GTAIV. Not so much in GTAV. It's fine if you prefer it, but to call me corrupted by GTAIV because I prefer the handling? Bitch please.

GTAIV went for realism, while V went for arcady handling that can be improved. Both fun choices, just up to the gamer which they prefer.
I've yet to play GTA V and have noticed that a few people have said that its driving physics are inferior to those of IV. Why is that?
[QUOTE="LegatoSkyheart"]Yeah right real crap....that's why Gamespot gave it a 10 right?....Yeah your not too bright are ya'?IV was crap.
It was a degression of the GTA series and not Progression like GTA V is.

They gave it a 10/10 for Hype purposes I guarantee it.
GTA IV had no where near the amount of content San Andreas (the last major console GTA game at the time) had.
All it had was Cars Physics (which sucked cause you'd spin out constantly in them so you might as well take a taxi) and Fast Food areas for Health.
Otherwise it was a Point A to Point B game and overall very Dull.
No Car Customization, No Responding to Pedestrians, No Parachutes, No Stats, Can you even buy Property in IV?,
GTA IV was awful. It's no where near that perfect score it got.
I think I could relate to GTA IV's protagonist more, the whole "nice guy who has to do bad things to get ahead" is more relatable than three guys who are basically all pretty hardcore criminals. But everything else is better in GTA V. The customization options alone make it better.

Very few people here are actually making a solid case for why GTA 5 is better. Please elaborate instead of "GTA 4 is shit" or "GTA 5 blows it out of the water". Use sentences, forge a constructive point and explain why you think 5 is better. The only real discussion anybody is making is about the car physics. nutcrackr
Within the first 2 hours I've been in missions that are better than anything that was found in GTA 4. Â If that doesn't tell you something I have no idea what will. Â Also there's not alot of people talking about the game here probably because they are too busy playing it.Â
It is more realistic and less cartoony. THey tighten car and body physic. Floaty/low gravity feeling is gone.I've yet to play GTA V and have noticed that a few people have said that its driving physics are inferior to those of IV. Why is that?

Stats, Responding to Pedestrians, Helping Pedestrians, Customizable Cars, Driving is better (seems to be a subjective opinion at this point)...
If you played GTA 4 and 5 you can see that 5 is just overall better than GTA 4.
Sad that there's no Cluckin' Bell or Burger Shot to raid from, but everything else in GTA 5 makes up for it.

3 person change mechanic during missions make the gameplay more dynamic.
Missions have more variety.
Replayable missions to get better stats on them.
Lots of more activties to do.
Each character can have their stats upgraded and even use special ablities.
Cops are more ruthless.
Random side missions.
Better customization for characters and cars.
It's everything GTA IV should had been.

Female Cops. Animals. More weapons than any previous GTA, plus customization. Videoing celebs having sex and getting caught. Great vehicles such as Planes, Jet-skis, Quads, Rhino Tanks and car customization. I mean, there's so much, you just can't fit it inside your mind.Very few people here are actually making a solid case for why GTA 5 is better. I spent maybe... 12 hours (?) playing and was bored most of the time. The missions were dull, and felt nothing like standard GTA fare (over-the-top, nonsensical, action-packed mayhem). I've played probably 15 hours of GTAV so far, am maybe 2 hours into the story and already love it. I can spend hours just driving around, having FUN. GTAIV wasn't fun, despite the four chances I gave it to impress me.

Niko is a very bland character. His story is painfully straightforward. "I must keeel to survive! War is hell! American dream isn't always so good!" etc. Meh.
There are very few memorable characters. I only remember Roman (annoying), Brucie (awesome), Badman (cool) and some stereotypical Irish/Italian mobsters.
Liberty City is very dull and grey, nothing like thr colourful wonderland of San Andreas/5.
There's very little side content. Where are all the minigames, collectables, character stats, car customization, property buying, races, fights, etc? In San Andreas and GTAV, that's where.
No army troops, just cops.
No tanks or jet fighters.
Atmosphere of dreary dullness, no sense of joy and fun.
Only complaint I have with V is that there are so few ways to make money. Missions don't really ever give you money aside from heists or lester missions, and you're either forced to play stock market or good luck hunting for trucks. I'm saying this for early to mid way through the game, since your needs go away near the end.
On the other hand mission designs in V are way better than IV. Story quests are really good, lots of variety in side quests, and then the minigames and random events will keep you distracted for sure.
I can see the complaint of the writing being valid because of the saturation of profanity and the story isn't all that complex. I do think though the quality of the writing when presenting characters, talking about social issues, and plot events are brilliantly executed.
