So..tell me again why any serious gamer would own a wii..?

as his/her primary (or only) console?

Heres a list of games, by genre, for each console currently released and furture release included. I wont even bother making claims such as "well its obvious that FF13 will be a btter game than Crystal Bearers" I'll just let the games speak for themselves. in some cases I'll combine genres which are very similar or put some games such as Metroid prime in general genres so as not to create an entire genre just for one game.

PS. dont complain about multiplats, its not my fault the wii is a neglected step-child.

The wii imo is trash. I just don't like the whole motion sensing thing. Thats why I own a PS3 and a 360. The wii reminds me of my gamecube. I don't wont another last gen console.

I am a serious gamer and I can answer that in one question. It has exclusives that won't be on any other system. Mainly Nintendo's games. Not to mention its not as if I have to spend a sizable chunk of change to play these games. So why the hell not? We all know Nintendo makes amazing games, Zelda TP, Metroid Prime Corruption, Super Paper Mario for starters and $250 to play these games isn't a bad deal at all. There are exclusives that the system has NOW.

Why would I want to own a sub standard PC when I can have a high quality one? All the titles you named are mostly on PC, so I ask what is the significance of getting a 360 or PS3 then? For me its like this. You know how you laugh at when the Wii gets a 360 port of a game like Table Tennis? How its the inferior version with watered down visuals and so forth? Thats how I feel when I hold a 360 controller in my hand a play a watered down, lackluster poor man's version of a PC game. You can say the Wii is for casuals if you like. A serious gamer wouldn't care. The Wii has good games, several of them already considered to be among the best this generation has yet to produce, so it's worth getting for that reason alone.

Only wannabes and whiners care about bad games. A serious gamer wouldn't b**** about bad games he was never excited for in the first place, because he wouldn't play them and so they wouldn't have any impact on him.

I think you mean that the Wii isn't some surrogate PC, its actually just what it is: A gaming console. You talk as if the 360 and PS3 are some godly systems. You know what happened when PC franchises such as Rainbow 6 and Ghost Reacon came to consoles? The became casual and aimed at people who just want to pick up the controller and shoot stuff. Which is why those two games are vastly different than the older ones. Basically what I'm saying to you is, you're promoting Wii to be casual. Yet you can be called casual in the eyes of a PC gamer for owning a console.
