So..tell me again why any serious gamer would own a wii..?

Why not? Gamecube games won most of the GOTY awards last gen, and had some excellent exclusives - no 'serious gamer' should have passed up that opportunity. It's a bit of a gamble, but the Wii is also bound to get some excellent exclusives.

Then again, I couldn't care how many great games the Wii gets. It's my secondary console, so the lack of multiplats aren't an issue. Even if it only gets 10-20 great games the entire gen, I'll be playing more great games on my other systems.

Sure, it's going to collect dust for most of the gen, but when I'm actually playing on my Wii, I'm almost certainly going to be playing a great exclusive game that no 'serious gamer' would pass up.

You have to realize that people have different taste in games. I hate how people are always trying to force the typical American gamer perspective down my throat. Here's a list of games I really care about:

Wii: SMG, SSBB, Mario Kart Wii, SPM, Zelda: TP, FF:CC Crystal Bearers, MP3, most Mario sports games, future Pikmin/F-Zero/Star Fox games(expecting), VC games like Super Metroid/Punch-Out/Castlevania IV, possibly Spore

360: B-K3, SFIV (assuming), SFII HD (XBLA), skate., Halo 3, possibly Orange Box

As you can see, I respect both consoles (and plan to get a 360), but I still prefer the Wii's lineup over 360's. No offense to the 360 games--they're great, but the whole sci-fi shooter thing just doesn't appeal to me a lot.

Maybe because they like the games on the Wii?
