That may be a tall order with the resources on hand, but as this is FF we decided it might be best to approach it by letting you run about on a chocobo. Also, although there is lots of freedom in the wilderness, there is only one goal but with many paths to accomplishing it.

If I wanted a game like Skyrim (I don't), I would play Skyrim lol. Well, LR looks like crap any how so let's just hope its some what playable.

I wish this franchise would just disapear for a but. Let my good memories of final fantasy have a little time to surface. Right now I can't get away from the mediorcity.

Screw that, i love the XIII series and XV looks like its going to revolutionize the genre.

What i want is competent management atop Square Enix, they have no idea how to run the company.

All they have to do is make a big world with shallow quests and shallow combat mechanics. Maybe he meant to beat Skyrim sales.LustForSoul

Now, Lightnig Returns could end up a good game and all, and I never played Skyrim and never foundit to look particularily appealing. 

But that being said, devs really have got to learn to not say such ridiculous-souding things. And I also find it silly how devs seem to put Skyrim upon some pedestal as if it is the holy grail of gaming. Again I never played the game and I'm sure it isn't terrible, but still, I have a hard time believing that Skyrim is THAT amazing, that it has to be a game that all devs have to try and topple or emulate...

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the size of the map.

So they want it to have sterile environments, simplistic combat, and goals that don't matter?

Xenoblade is shit too.... most people hype it because they haven't played a good adventure RPG in over 10 years and have forgotten you can actually play RPG games not let the game play itself.

Skyrim blows so they're not setting the bar very high, but then again every mainline FF game since (and including) X has sucked ass too.famicommander

X had good atmosphere and great music at points, but it was pretty clear they were already well on their way to losing the plot entirely.

Atleast they don't have high expectation for the game

you really have to try if you want to make game worse than Skyrim

I thought the atmosphere was horrible too... too much teenage drama. FF used to be adult characters going out of their way to save the world, not childish kids in their puberty. Thought in FF9 they was teenagers too, it seemed like that was just an age because their characters and the responsibility they all had seemed to match that of a more mature figure.
