Do Wii game just get given high scores for featuring well known characters?

Lol, the game's ugly. it's just random bashing of the wiimote or controller or whatever turd you happen to be holding at the time.

It's more repetative then other fighters as it has a very limited moves list

its fun, it has good graphics, it has a deep yet simplistic fighting system. tons of characters and stages, create a stage a single player mode and lag free online. why doesnt it deserve a 9.5? becuase you own all mature games and theres no way a childs game can be good?

It has way more modes than most fighters. Some of the best graphics on Wii, though with your sig I'm sure that means nothing to you. And try randomly bash against someone good, they'll destroy you.

Because it's just a really great game, party game, fan service, and there's skill to it as well.

Remove the items and play it like mostly everyone else out there who likes to test their skill does.

Not everyones going to like every game that gets good critical reception, for example, I really didn't like Gears of War, most people loved the game. I love Dynasty Warriors, most people hate the series.

All fighters get repetitive though, but to me Brawl and Smash Bros in general along has lots of life to it, because there's much customization and replay value to it. Custom stages, items, Special Brawls, a plethora of MP and SP modes, challenges/trophies to unlock, and so forth.,

Aslo, consider it button mashing, just see where it takes you then. You button mashing would

A. Cause you to suicide should you be near a ledge

B. Cause you to just stand there open while you continue mashing buttons to attack in the direction you face

C. Cause you to just lose altogether, cause if you mash random buttons, where would you be heading? :o

D. There's no long strenuous combos or chains, and SSB is a game where you make your own combos more so than having pre-programmed moves, so there in and of itself will you find yourself losing just randomly mashing buttons cause you need to know what moves work best and how they work. :D (thought I'd actually add a real point at the end)

I mean, if you don't like sandbox games, GTA4 is going to be repetitive and boring... You have to like Smash style gameplay or you're not going to like SSBB.

Also, do you have 3 other people in the same room playing with you? If you're just playing the comp then yes it will get boring. But if I have a few friends playing smash with me I can play all day.

I love how all the characters in Brawl actually play differently because of the B moves. In most fighters they are either, basically all the same, but some faster some slower, some more powerful some less, or they are too varied, like Virtua Fighter, basically in that you'll only ever choose one fighter unless you can remember more than 30 combos for each character (still an awesome game though =p).

Can't you just admit you're wrong. "He'll probably win because his button mashing is better" or maybe it's because he is ACTUALLY good at the game and doesn't just mash buttons in the hope he'll win, try to learn the game before you diss it. It'd be like me going online in Halo, and shooting my entire clip all over the place and saying "Lol it's teh eazy becuz I killed 5 people just ammo spammo-ing!!!" Yeah and how many times did you die again? "60". Seriously, just try button mashing against someone playing properly (not even good) and they'll still beat you more times than you beat them.

Bet you think you can win by button mashing because you died 5 times but then one hit on someone with 180% damage XD.

Plus like i said, i didnt play you more then once, i was Bowser at the start, then when you destroyed me, i gave up.

Yeah, dude, it's easy to give up at that level and claim it takes no skill. I think what you should do, TC, is look up some vids of professional players. You may not know all of what's going on, but you won't be able to deny that it takes skill.

Only that this 6 year old didn't even win one match when we were playing. :? Out of the 6 or so matches I've played with you and/or the 6 year old, I only lost 1 stock. That's pretty much a shut out.

Doesn't help that the game was spiking something awful.
