[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]Condemned: Criminal Origins is on Steam? Nice! I should pick that up. I loved that on 360 back when the Xbox launched.Heil68Is the pc version just a port?
I haven't played much of the game yet but it has a fully featured graphic options menu and supports 2560x1440. I did the first crime scene part and it looks great for a game that is pretty dated at this point
There are daily sets of deals right?ArisShadows
I don't think so, there are too many deals in that space and too few days of this sale (presumably).
I think the featured sales are going to stay.
Especially since there are free to play games there, which I have to imagine will still be free to play after today...

Get Amnesia if you haven't ever played that (Halloween is the perfect time to do so). That game is so scary, and I'm not talking about the monster either (which is what 99% of people seem to mention when Amnesia is brought up). If you appreciate great atmosphere, and masterfully created environments, then Amnesia is scary on a deeper, more psychological level. Personally I was scarred by it :P But that is no laughing matter!:|
And if you have a few friends then I'd suggest Killing Floor which may perhaps be the most well-designed horde-mode shooter on the face of the earth. Everything from weapon weight to class limits to level design just seems so perfectly calculated to the point where no matter what skill level you are the game is still reliant on team composition, and teamwork in general. That game is never not-difficult it seems, and I still have yet to play the highest level difficulties. I can't even imagine the kind of teamwork, and coordination they take. I already play with a full 6-person team, and we still die often.
Haven't been on Steam for weeks. Nearly forgot about this thanks TC.
Interested in getting Fear 3, otherwise not I own most of the games/not interested.
Is the KF update good?
[QUOTE="NeonNinja"]
[QUOTE="Heil68"] Not when I first played it..today, 12 years later? Yea, it would be a chore to get through it.Ly_the_Fairy
The game IS a chore to get through today. Those controls are a pain in the ass, even with keys remapped. I couldn't stand it for more than two hours.
I played through Deus Ex for the first time ever last year, and I thought that game was pure awesomeness.
To each their own, man. I couldn't stomach through it.
Yeah the new map is great and Tripwire added some new weapons. There is also for 4 new weapons that are DLC for $3 or something which are fun to useHaven't been on Steam for weeks. Nearly forgot about this thanks TC.

Oh what? I thought all DLC was to be purely cosmetic. That sucks.
But hey, they've provided me with some good free stuff over the last 2 years. Might be time to boot up the ol thing again
i decided to pick up all 3, only have played the second game, got about half way through but then i had to give it back to my friend. Ive heard the first ones the best tho, is it actually scary at all?[QUOTE="GamingVengeance"][QUOTE="BPoole96"] Fear 1 is awesome. I just played t for the first time and loved it. It's a shame more games don't have as good of AI as Fear does.BPoole96
It's not scary but has a suspenseful atmosphere and tries for some jump scares. The firefights you'll encounter are very intense and not having health rejuvenation makes it a bit tougher than msot other FPS games (although the game is quite generour with health kits and armor). the steam copy also comes with the 2 expansions for Fear 1 called Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate. Both of them are quite enjoyable and add some new enemies and weapons into the mix.
First FEAR is amazing but the expansions were pretty terrible, especially Perseus Mandate.Extraction Point was a decent expansion, worth playing.
Hell, even Perseus Mandate is worth playing. People only called those terrible because they hadn't played FEAR 2 yet.

Yeah this is the first time they have charged for something aside from skins but I have so many hours on that games and only paid $5 for it initially so I support them as much as I canYeah, I grabbed it instantly. :P btw I have Borderlands and Brink in my inventory if someone wants to trade for something... The Walking Dead for $15.

Well the first two hours of that game do suck, but after that I was totally sucked in.
I want to play it again, but after I beat it I put it aside for other games in my backlog.
It's been so long since I played fear, I got stuck in those sewers for like 30 minutes missing a clearly obvious path -_-
I'm tempted to get Fear 2, but I've played it before & I'm not crazy for it. Still, for that price...

Also, add me on steam, Aris-Shadows . We can co op together.I really want New Vegas, I just don't have the time at the moment, and I'm hoping for an even greater sale during the Christmas season. Fingers crossed.
EDIT: Oh, and that Comic Sans font really put me off lol
There probably will be a better sale for it, in the last sale they had it for $5 or $12.50 for the full edition.I really want New Vegas, I just don't have the time at the moment, and I'm hoping for an even greater sale during the Christmas season. Fingers crossed.

I had promised myself to not buy any more games this year as I have a big backlog. So I only bought four :). Amnesia: Dark Descent, F.E.A.R., Bioshock 2 and Limbo. It's ridiculous the amount of quality games you can get for almost nothing. Makes me wonder why ever buy games new.
£10 for Dungeon Defenders and all the DLC is a steal.
I've put in 100 hours so far and it's a great game.
Buy it!

If anyone has an original Doom 3 (not BFG Edition) in their inventory I'll give you some stuff in exchange for it

Yeah I am kicking myself for not buying it the last time it was available. I recently saw some amazing mods for it and figured I'd give it a go. Of course that was when id raised the price to $100 and launched the BFG version which is apparently significantly worse than modded Doom 3.
So glad I picked it up on sale years ago. DOOM 3 with the Sikkmod, better textures, and Reznor's sound files? So good.[QUOTE="BPoole96"][QUOTE="PannicAtack"] That was a massive dick move on id's part. DarkLink77

I'm interested in downloading The Dark Mod, myself, because I freaking love Thief.^This. They were terrible compared to the original game, but then again, most shooters are terrible compared to FEAR. FEAR 2 set a whole new standard in bad, though.Extraction Point was a decent expansion, worth playing.

Why the hell would they sell it if it didn't work?

It's happened before. The old Fallout trilogy has this crazy color problem on Windows 7, though I managed to get a fix. But yeah, got Vampire, took a look at the instruction manual. Seems pretty neat.[QUOTE="Epak_"]Bought Vampire The Masquerade, I hope they have patched the **** out of it.

Seems pretty neat.Well that dude was right, the fix was pretty simple though. Holy hell this game hasn't aged well, I didn't remember it being so damn... blurry. It looked great when I played it last time, probably 7-8 years ago. Got the widescreen mod for it, but it didn't do much.
I took a chance and grabbed it. Basically any "real" game is worth $5 in my book. And I know there's some solid artwork in there.So... is Bioshock 2 worth $5?

The game isn't even that old, I mean it came out in 2004, same year as HL2. Everything is really ****** blurry.
I guess this guy has a bunch of mods enabled. Looks decent and nothing like my version.
Edit: Ok so the amount of memory I have is somehow forcing the game to use the worst possible textures available (N64 quality). If I force the usable amount of RAM to two gigs the game looks so much better. The problem now is that windows is acting really slow due to the severe cut in RAM ( I have 8 gigs). Investigation continues.
Edit: THIS helped a lot, everything is fine and dandy now.
