At around 7pm on January 3, the number of concurrent users surpassed 12 million, with exactly 12,332,504 players signing in to sample the likes of DotA 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, GTA V, Fallout 4, and Football Manager 2016.

Still can get about the same experience on a console. DotA2 = Smite, Counter Strike = Pick any first person shooter, GTA V = GTA V, Fallout 4 = Fallout 4, Football Manager 2016 = FIFA 16. Console has just about ever equivalent you can think of. RTS is about the only genre you can't get but now Halo Wars 2 comes out soon. So yeah us peasants are quite content.

Not sure what your point is here... that number (actually the latest number from Sony was 110 million) is of registered accounts. Not active users, and NOT concurrent users. Steam's registered accounts number in the 400+ million. Most of those of course, are not active (just like most PSN registered accounts are not active).

Steam has aprox 145 million active accounts.

Problem with hermits is they are playing in the small leagues. They don't see that their shit system is a drop in the water. No one cares. Excited over 12million when PSN had 110million 3 years ago. I don't know of a single person in real life who plays games on PC, or has heard of any of its low budget barely video game trash.
