Getting everything going for DayZ was a piece of p!ss for me. The six launcher/updater did everything for me and I just had to find a server

As long as you install OA into the Arma II folder it's VERY straightforward

So i ended up spending $584.52 before international transaction fees... hmmm

You should follow the instructions on the DayZ site. The wiki is over complicated.

It downloads six launcher which downloads all the DayZ files you need itself and puts them in the right place hassle free. then you start up six launcher and choose a server through that to skip the Arma II menu completely

Yeah pretty buggy still, with guys walking through walls and being able to kill you. But the desync problems are almost gone which was a huge thing before, red desyncs were a pain in the ass

Yes. Even if only for the Day-Z mod (though it's rumoured to become standalone).

If you want Day-Z, you have to grab Combined Ops.

OA should install automatically if you have it on steam, if you have any issues with ether DayZ or Arma 2 OA or other expansions, right click them, go under properties, go under local files and click verify integrity of local game cache.

If you have still have issues with Arma 2 and DayZ make sure you have the most recent patch and Battle eye files.

If you still have issues with DayZ like stuck at loading screen, make sure you join a server that is the same client version as you are.

Well no matter. Im more interested in steam support removing skyrim's high resolution texture pack from my steam account. Causes performance drop, so its useless 3gb on my computer (sh*t steam downloads it automatically even though I delete it from skyrims data files).

Honestly, yes, yes they should. I just picked up The Witcher for $2.50, solely because my GoG version was simply a shortcut from Steam to the game. Yes, I paid $2.50 for that cool screnshot that comes up in the back... That's how cheap Steam is :lol:

You did but they changed it to just flashlight. Cos everyone would start and kill each other straight away and not help each other scavenge. they still kill each other but at least not right after spawning. You have to fight for your first weapons. They also had it so Zombies couldn't climb ladders or swim too but now they can do both.

Keep playing though and you'll get better. It's MUCH easier after a while to the point where you can avoid almost everything or trick the zombies and exploit their behaviour to get passed.

Picked up Stacking and Bastion. I hope more people got Dear Esther it really is a great experience.

And I'm done.

I was the same :lol: with almost teh exact same equipment and almost died 4 times before that

But I started with him again about a week ago and got 3 more days out of him until I was sniped by a camper in Cherno. SUCKED lol
