Steam Winter Sale Starts Today

So the Steam Winter Sale has started...which means it's time for the annual bitching about how old sales were better

The usual rule was to only buy things on Daily Deal, but they have done away with that since the Autumn sale

As much as I like Steam sales, I know exactly what's going to happen in my case.

Step 1: Purchase several games off of Steam sale.

Step 2: Play newly purchased games for a few hours, then exit out of them.

Step 3: Start playing Team Fortress 2 for the millionth time, and forget about the games recently purchased.

I hate to be that guy, but this sale does seem weak. During the autumn sale the Van Helsing games were like $3.99 and they are $7.49 now. Also, The Old Blood was cheaper during the autumn sale as well. Not sure how they decide this.

I may pick up Ori... That's probably it for me. Lost interest in pc gaming this year. I'll stick with my gimmped consoles.

Did Dead Rising 3 cost £40 before the sale?

@mems_1224: I mean payed through the first half hour or so when I went to visit animal mother in November... I stopped right as I was getting that familiar tunnel vision of not being able to put the controller down.

I will be picking up the Sands of Time trilogy. Ended up getting KOTOR and The Witcher: Enhanced Edition as well.

Bought Back to the Future so far... eyeing Game of Thrones and Gat out of Hell as well. There are several others that I want but would prefer a physical copy of, so I probably wont get. Wolfenstien, Max Payne 3, Mad Max to name a few.

Are they adding things every day, and just doing away with the Flash Sales, or are they throwing everything that's going to be on sale into the mix from the get-go?

Might hop on the Counter Strike wagon but that's about it I think. Only other game I'm interested in is Witcher 3 but I need to do some serious catch up with my current games first before I buy that.

Meh, I might finally get The Ship for 0,99 Euro. Always wanted to try that. Also considering The Betrayer, The Masterplan and Age of Mythology Extended. Or if I feel really kinky Satellite Reign. Nothing I'm super excited for though.
