@casharmy: Killer instinct launched free (and was available to download the entire game plus its expansions for free during games with gold month) to play and had more modes and features than this garbage, looks better too.

I've played the game and it is as good as I thought it was going to be. Will pick up a PS4 later this year once Juri hits the scene. And by then most of the both features that should have been in the game in the first place will be there.

Agreed. The game is godly in what really matters to a game in its gameplay. SW just wants it to be a failure cause they can't hide away in any mode to beat up the CPU to fool themselves into thinking they're actually good at the game

That's why I suggested you rephrase your title. The game can't be godly if it's missing modes and has performance problems.

Best fighter on PS4 this gen for sure. Though I am playing it on the better system, Microsoft Windows. It totally curb stomps the PS4 version.

Great game but its pretty much not worth owning if you aren't just after online. The character models arent that much better than Smash Bros if honest nor the backdrops. The gameplay is awesome and fluid, its what you expect of SF.

Nor do I. Good thing I have a nice and tight alienware that is hidden in an entertainment center, that is quiet, small and insanely fast. Wireless controller, and always running in standby mode with instant access too all my digital games. Right next to my X1 and PS4. LOVE LOVE

So, more problems keep coming out of the SF camp lol. Apparently, alt tabbing on pc can cause the other player to receive most of the lag(theory). PS4 users are starting to report frame drops, even in training mode lol. What a mess.

Its fun on Microsoft Windows for the most part though despite the bugs. But it is getting lambasted in user reviews and low metascore. Needs more time in the oven.

@intotheminx: solution would be to just play people on ps4 network. Still annoying but not have noticed this myself. I suppose it is bit like when 2 team pacman on smash was unbeatable.

I feel you on that man, but I probably won't wait quite that long lol. As soon as it gets all the proper basic modes and features added in, I'm jumping on it. Hopefully just a matter of months. The roster size doesn't bother me a bit and I surely don't want to hold out as long as it would usually take to get the final version(s). Just the normal base version of a Street Fighter game (the kind of shit that should be there on day 1) will do it for me.

That's why I'm not worried. From what I hear the game plays as great as one would expect from the franchise and the online, the most important portion of the game, works just fine. As long as those aspects are locked in place, it's just a matter of building out content and they will eventually.

I've heard the gameplay was very well done. It's too bad they decided to leave 1/2 the content out of the game before releasing it. They still added microtransactions as well. So I'll just wait it out and get it for the price I want to pay. After SFIV fiasco, I won't let Capcom burn me again.

The game is amazing so far and online is working perfectly fine since the 2nd day I'm only missing the challenges mode and I want tho more robust story mode which they promised us as soon as possible.

I can't help but laugh at all the people who are defending a 60 game that lacks features because of its gameplay.

I would hope Street Fighter V plays well, given II, the Alpha games, III, and IV were all great playing games.

The issue is not the gameplay, the issue is that Capcom put out a half-baked game that is lacking features. And let's be blunt here, Capcom is not the only one that can put out a great-playing fighting game. Netherrealm Studios has turned Mortal Kombat into a tournament caliber fighter, SNK is still at the top of the game, Namco is still doing a great job, Nintendo is winning over fans with Smash(which is only second to Street Fighter at evo)

My point is, Gameplay should not give Street Fighter V a pass when other games have been ripped apart for lacking content. Destiny and Star Wars Battlefront were great playing games. But they got ripped a new one due to launching half-baked games that lacked content.

This is not a system wars issue. The issue is what is the appeal of playing Street Fighter V if you're not planning to play in EVO? I have Mortal Kombat X, King of Fighters XIII, Street Fighter IV(And the Alpha games as PS1 Classics), Smash Bros for Wii U and other fighting games with "great gameplay" to pick from.

Why should I go buy a 400 dollar system for a half-baked fighting game that plays well? There are other fighting games, including older Street Fighter games that play well. This should have been the fighting game that sells PS4 and makes people like me want that system.

Instead, Capcom just made me feel better that I did not spend money on a PS4.

@caryslan2: first game is on pc too so sfv was never supposed to be a ps4 system seller. Second none of the games you mentioned come close to how good and balanced sfv is maybe except smash but that's a different kind of fighting games. Third capcom was smart to make sfv core fans a priority over the casual gamers who will leave the games and stop playing it within one month of its release date the core gamers are the ones who will keep the community alive for the next few years I'm not defending capcom but they did the right thing by releasing the game early before EVO otherwise the game would have been forgotten and died as fast as SF vs Tekken

SFV is a fucking ripoff. there's such an insane lack of variety, missing staple characters and the story mode is beyond disappointing.

The only thing they got right were the character models this time around. unfortunately that doesn't make for a great game. Simply put SF IV should of looked like this, Aside from Ken, Ken looks fucking terrible.

AT 4k the game is gorgeous but shit, looks is all it has going for it.

People saying the game is broken are complete idiots. The game is perfect gameplay wise, every move or animation is smooth as silk on my PC. In terms of mechanics this might be the best SF game to date, it's absolutely flawless.

The only thing the game is missing IMO is an arcade mode and a challenge mode. The story mode is weak but SF has been going down this weak story path for a long time now, it's almost on par with their previous efforts. At least they plan to give out a more fleshed out story for free later. Once they put in an arcade mode and challenge mode this game will have everything I need in a SF game. LOL @ butthurt lems trying to make it look like the game is terrible because it's not on the Xbone when it's the total opposite. If this game was on Xbone half of you people complaining would be cheering the game. This game is the best fighting game on current gen consoles, anyone who says otherwise is probably a scrubby casual that plays only against the CPU. Anyone who is remotely into playing fighting games competitively will tell you the depth in this game's mechanics is unparalleled.

BTW my connection to the servers has been perfect since the 2nd day. I only had problems connecting on launch day.

And that matters not when it comes to threads by known cows such as this. The game isn't on X1 so to a cow that's the same thing as being exclusive. His statement "the game is godly" is false. How can a game be godly when there are many many reported issues with online AND more importantly, it's missing modes. If he had said the game play is godly then perhaps he would a leg to stand on but he didn't and THAT'S the point.

1st of all what does that even mean? You going to tell me YOU determine which modes are appropriate? 2nd the fact that it's MISSING anything would automatically eliminate it from being godly. 3rd "coming" next month is not the same as here NOW.

Is GS exaggerating the online issues? Didn't they post pone the review because of these "exaggerated" issues? I think people over exaggerated the MCC online issues and those issues got the collection a low score, even after the issues were fixed. So my point stands....missing modes and online issues =/= godly

the complaining about "missing modes" is silly, they are not missing, capcom told everyone in advance they would not be finished until later in the year and that they were rushing the game out for a tournament release.

What is not silly is people complaining about the broken online component. The only thing that was supposed to be available at launch was online and it was released in a terrible, broken state. Nearly a week later I have played less than 10 matches, more than half of them either dropped midway through or had me and my opponent teleporting around the screen. Absolutely disgraceful.

The game is great at the moment once it gets more content it shall be an essential purchase.
