Lol @ relying on failed writers (gaming journalists) for their information. You might as well ask your local Gamespot teenager for opinions - he will undoubtedly know more than anyone who writes games reviews for a publication.

If anything the reviews says more about the state of the review industry than it does the game. The game is sitting at 42% on Steam. Both gaming journalism and Capcom failed this one. At this point you would have to be blind and deaf to not see and hear what's plain as day.

Guess the many many thousands of unsatisfied customers who paid $60 don't mean anything compared to the 2 dozen reviewers you reference who didn't pay a dime for the game.

You can bet your $10 that Capcom will charge you for those missing modes.

I was just at a local tournament today. This game has the most godly fighting game system I've ever seen. This game is as legitimate as it gets. The netcode is also essentially perfect and entirely lag free to boot. Outstanding.

P.S. I've earned about 200,000 fight monies so that's already 2 characters for free.

I have no regrets on buying this game now as some idiot on eBay bought my M. Bison pre-order costume for $35. I literally paid $3 for this game now.

I just don't get how anyone can be so ignorant, I know it is the internet but can you try and put some thought into what you are saying. Is your argument really, "derp it works for me, therefore it is fine"

The fact is, there are still loads of complaints all over the place regarding this game, the matchmaking is completely broken and you often have to wait far longer than you should have to in order to find a match if you even manage to find a match. DC rates are incredibly high, the battle lounge works inconsistently, and there are loads of people with more than competant machines experiencing huge gameplay issues in online matches. My internet is fine, I have never once had a problem playing usf4 or any other online game I have played until this game.

Is your argument that somehow my internet, along with loads of other peoples internet, that normally works completely fine in every other game they play just magically broke?

I am glad the game works for you, I really am, but pretending that everything is fine just because you are not experiencing these issues is complete ignorance.

I just want to express my appreciation for their hard work...I'm sure they would not internally release the game this way if it could have. been helped...they are doing quite a bit to make us happy with this game...

They should have waited a month or two and released the game when the rest of the content was ready.

Finally got to play this tonight, **** it plays great. lol @ how bare bones it is though.

But yeah, once they get their shit together this will be my go to fighting game for years to come.

I have played SF since the SNES era and loved virtually all of them loving this too. It is missing content but in my opinion gameplay and last ability matter. It has the gameplay nice smooth gameplay and online which is its main attraction.

The other modes that will be added I shall play to learn combo chains and test characters and play Challenge Mode. Hopefully the Battle Lounge shall be improved as well.

Plus I have always been a Street Fighter prefer it miles over MK and Tekken. I can go back to SSF2 Turbo and get enjoyment same with Hyper Fighting unlike the old MK games they feel so dated.

Even if it is on Capcom's end you'd be complaining about server problems on a game that isn't even a week old. It's basically like complaining about water being wet making you sound dumb as ****. Good thing it's just connection problems on your end.

Even Angry Joe already comment on SFV but he even thinks SFV is gorgeous and I do agree with him about the missing contents but this hardly bothers me and I'm still having way more fun with this game and don't regret paying full price and my new fighting sticks.

So your initial point was "I dont experience the problem, therefore it is not a problem" and your point has now "evolved" to "its okay if there are problems because its only a week old"

@blackace: That idea would of been bad. Capcom gave me a Birthday present of paying £40 for SF5 (£50 + in most outlets in UK). Between that and the Bayonetta smash content its been a good week off work for me. Perfect timing IMO.

Next fighters to be released Tekken and Pokken. 2016 is glorious.

I'm no longer sure if I want it even after it's done. Too much DLC in there and I hate that and don't want to support it. I'm not a serious fighting game enthusiast anyway. I'm casual and enjoy playing the computer as well as some online play. This game just isn't for me on a few different levels. I can see why a diehard would buy it anyway but then to also deffend these practices seems like too much.

I'd like to try it. I wish that devs would just wait until all the features are there before they release (that's platform-wide, not picking on just one system).

Yeah, I went ahead and snatched up the PC version for about 34 bucks. I just couldn't rationalize paying the full 60 for such a bare bones game, but after getting a taste of the gameplay last night, I started hunting for deals.

It really plays like a dream. Looks pretty good too, much cleaner style than SF4.

The PC version is like a gen ahead of the PS4 version in terms of graphics lol. I made the switch.

using insults in place of an actual argument is typical of people who realize they have no real point. You already said that it is okay if capcom has problems since it is the first week, and if that is the low standard you have than that is fine, just don't expect everyone else to have the same low standards that you have, and don't get all whiny when people have higher standards than you.

@pook99: have you tried setting opponents to only have 5 bar connections? You can set the search to that while you play any mode in the game.

I've been getting consistent matches that ran perfectly. It felt like local play. It's leagues ahead if any other fighter I've played online.

Make sure you have a wired connection. Can't rely on wireless for online gaming.

RIP Street Fighter

Yeah, I did that, for the first few days it did not help at all, but today things have gotten a lot better. My main issue with the game currently is the long time between matches. It typically takes 4-8 minutes to find a casual/ranked match and in that time there is literally nothing to do but sit in practice mode and practice mk--> yoga flame. I am sure capcom will iron out these issues over time though and I can't wait until they do because the game itself is absolutely amazing.

I started off with PS4 version. PC is really, really nice. It's a very noticeable difference. No jaggies, plays really smooth, nice motion blur. I was playing it in 1440p.

The game is shit ... all combos are 5-6 hits ... they all look the same .... everything is predictable as shit ... it is boring to look at the game.
