Study: 'Extreme Gamers' play 48 hours a week

I play about 10 hours a week. Everything in balance. I'd love to know more about these guys, like what their social life is in the real world, etc.lhughey

With the exception of WoW, i can barely get to 3 or 4. I honestly am more interested in learning about the games and their development than actually playing them.

48 hours seems like A LOT. Although I did play 9 hours of SMG yesterday (not straight), which is probably a record. I say I'd normally game around 1-2 hours a day, depending on how much time I have on my hands. But like I said, I'm inconsistent. I might not play any video games for one week, and then play all week long the next.

LBP isn't anything new. It's a platformer with user created content. Gee, UCC has never been done before..:roll:

I don't think thats too much I know a bunch of extreme gamers who play above 70 hours a week and I told one of them today about this and his answer was "are they serious? thats too low for "extreme" gamer" because he averages 12 a day so I don't know if that survey is close to the fact or not.

He is kinda cheating, everybody knows that about him, my friends who are extreme trophy hunters caught him few times, he finds trophy hacks for some games, and there are like 3 people helping him out.

Wow most weeks i only play 15-30 hrs. If there is a game i really like maybe 40

I find it kind of hilarious how far this "hardcore gamer" thing actually goes...

Back in 2006 I played the two KoTOR games. It was about 50-60 hours a week.

Excuse: I was in the hospital for a full two weeks. I only had my Xbox for the second week.

when i was around 12, i could easily game all day long, only poty break, i was eating while playing too. So 48 hours isn't that impressive. Now i have a hard time capping 15 hours ( i'm 23)

So in order to be extreme gamers we have to play basically 7 hours of games a day, I'm lucky if I get 7 hours a week right now :P.
