LOL I didn't know that even Nintendo is ready to incentivate pre-orders

10 people (including me) believe that Super Mario 3D Land with get a 10. For some reason I find that funny.
[QUOTE="fabz_95"]Yeah guys, it's not really a negative since it opens up new realms for platforming but it does take a bit of time to get used to.Lucianu
Btw., i noticed a ton of jaggies in those gameplay videos, how are the visuals holding up considering the hardware.
Those jaggies are because AA doesn't work well with 3D mode. I think the visuals are perfectly fine since the game aims for simplistic graphics rather than excessive effects.
A 3D trailer is up for you guys with a 3DS. Also most of the Nintendo Power info that leaked that I posted on has been confirmed.

Is it new or is it the same one available to download during E3?

Different trailer. It'll get a 9, but I still think that the definitive 3DS game will be Mario Kart 7.charizard1605MK7? How can that be "the" 3DS game and not one of the main games in the series?

Because so far, it seems to be the only game that seems to be doing full justice to the 3DS's capabilities. It's a gorgeous looking game running in 60FPS in 3D, meaning it utilizes the 3DS's power. It has a wonderful online mode. The previous game in the series turned out to be the highest selling non bundled game of all time, and defined the system it was on (I'm talking about Mario Kart DS, just to be clear). It was also one of the best games on its system. I'm pretty sure we can expect MK7 to follow in those footsteps.

I'm with you on everything you said except for that. This game's online functionality is extremely barebones.
No, it's online functionality has been confirmed to be full fledged. Sending friends invite, cross game invites, eight player races, random eight player races, matchmaking, creating lobbies, everything's included in this game. You know they're revamping the friends function of the 3DS in the November update? This is the first game to benefit from that.[QUOTE="93BlackHawk93"]Meh, MK still is a very inconsistent series, and my least hyped 3DS game as of now. :P It's inconsistent, but when it works- like it did on the SNES, N64, Gamecube and DS- then it works incredibly well, and becomes the defining game of that system. Also a google search of "3DS november update" only tells me about 3D video recording. Would be stoked if I could confirm it.

NeoGAF actually. The TGS trailer for MK7 along with Nintendo's TGS conference confirmed all of this.I'm sure they'll do it soon enough. Then again, this is Nintendo, they have the most dysfunctional marketing department I have seen since Sony 2006. I'm just hoping the reviews exonerate the online function to hell and back so that everyone knows about it.^ thanks. if I were Nintendo I'd be shouting this bit of news from the mountain tops. The online play was actually kind of a deal-breaker for me. This puts the game firmly back into consideration for me.

Handheld GOTY.

I agree. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets nominated for GOTY here.
Just went and preordered it today.

I plan to preorder at the end of October.SM3DL pre-orders spike on amazon, up by 32%. It's all because of my hype thread. :P
Handheld GOTY.

Wouldn't be hard to do. Only Ghost Trick and Tactics Ogre have gotten AAA this year. SM3DL and MK7 are really the only other games that could give them a run for their money.
I'm liking the look of the levels in those screens. They seem to have the same amount of creative flair as the galaxy games.
Avoiding further coverage, just like Skyward Sword.
But Tanooki Boo... :o epic levels through the ROOF!
mmmwksil
Invincible white Tanooki for n00bs who die too much.
THIS GAME WILL BE PERFECT!

The power wing does make an appearance in this game, but it doesn't do what it did in SMB3.

why is everything tanooki? :P
anyway 9.5 is my guess

'Cause Tanooki makes everything better. It's the bacon of the Mushroom Kingdom.:P
Then the Mushroom Kingdom must've been on a killer diet for all these years. Now they've hit a bacon only buffet. :P
Not that I mind. Tanooki FTW!
