Super Mario 64
Ape Escape
Banjo Tooie
I can tell you right now, ape escape loses
WINDWAKER1
Yes I picked Banjo tooie and I feel 360 has the best game from ps1/n64 era Since DK64 is not out
Please use the Legacy Forums for this kind of topic. :)
Sky-
Its about VC XBLA and PSN though and the battle
appearently these are rereleases so we dont have to use legacy platforms
,, but any way the tally shows the truth-super mario 64 is way better then ape escape and that banjo tooie
this is a fair poll.
not.
Phaze-Two
Hows it not fair as I picked all the best platformers from the ps1/n64 era found on PSN vs XBLA vs VC
If you like terrible mini game collections called a platformer with no redeeming or quality in any aspect but has the most elements but is the master of none....you just lost all credibility right now. Please leave sir. NOW.[QUOTE="WINDWAKER1"]
Banjo Kazooie and Tooie were way better than both, btw

Nope. Banjo Kazzoie was basically a bunch of mini games. IE. Put eggs in pot get puzzle piece. Spell out Banjo Kazzoie get puzzle piece. Ground pound simon says puzzles, and other games. That is what banjo kazzoie gameplay was. It was not unique nor good. It was a bunch of simple mini games in a hub world and the other puzzle pieces are just collect-a-thon. Not what I thought was fun or interesting and was easily the worst games Rare made.[QUOTE="RTUUMM"]Why did TC pick Ape Escape? Ape Escape want a hit and not everyone play it, I havent even played any of they AE gamesSonick54cause it's an underrated franchise that deserves more recognition :)
Ape Escape is one of the worst 3D platformers of that era.
Banjo Tooie > Mario 64 > Ape Escape. Banjo Kazooie is also really good too, and better than Mario 64 imo.
Oh hell yeahShame on anyone hating on Ape Escape. Ape Escape is ownage.
ActicEdge
I find it sad that the 360's only good platform is a game that's from a Nintendo console.
In reality this Poll is "Super Mario 64 (N64) vs Ape Escape (PSone) vs Banjo Tooie (N64).
No matter how you vote the Nintendo 64 still wins.
How could people say SM64 looks better than Banjo-Tooie when even Banjo-Kazooie was a better looking game?

I don't know WTF you were playing but ape escape was ownage. There were far worse 3D platformers. Ape Escape was very good.

It's not that Ape Escape was bad (I thoroughly enjoyed it) just that M64 and Banjo-Tooie were so much better than everything else out at the time[QUOTE="ActicEdge"]Oh hell yeahShame on anyone hating on Ape Escape. Ape Escape is ownage.

Already confirmed on PS3. Ape escape using the move. I expect ownage once again.

Its a good game (even if I really don't like it much) but it was not so godly in comparison, to crash, spyro or ape escape. It was better but not on some other level. That is my opinion.
People love to hate on PS platformers which I find sad since a lot of them were great. Were not talking about Ratchet and Jak here, we're talking about about pure bred well done platformers. I find all this "can't touch M64 and Banjo" crap annoying. Those games can't even lick the **** off of Yoshi's Island's, Megaman 2, Sonic 2 and 3 etcboot.

QFT. It was such a fun game, and very innovative controls for it's day.
Wasn't it the first game to use both analog sticks?
I mean you had to have the dualshock controller to play it.

- Super Mario 64 (Although to be honest, SMB3 and Super Mario World Pwn SM64 by a country mile)
- Ape Escape
- Banjo

Well, no, but it was the first game to REQUIRE Both analog sticks. :P You couldn't play it without a Dualshock, but it was well worth it. I bought it for $40 the day it first came out (back then games came out for PSOne for $40, and N64 games were $60.)
I remember it got a lot of hate because people were like, "WTF is this Two analog crap? That's unpossible to play!!!1!"
Times have changed, but it was very innovative for it's time, and very fun. The gadgets, the platforming, the charm.
