It's really hard to tell if SMG2 can win the GOTY award. I think that many of the editors personally enjoyed the other games back at 2007 more than SMG but they felt like it was their duty to award it. This time they might say "well we have given SMG GOTY already, contender is enough" given that there are games that at least are on the same level of epicness as SMG2, I haven't played ME2.

Wow I don't know this game always surprises me. There was little to know build up, but they just threw it out there. And it seems to be as amzing as the first.

what company doesnt pay a world renown event to show their greatest game for promotion?

They are not known for doing it for game reviews, but they pay top dollar to have it as product placement in shows and other places. Like the Academy Awards and family TV sitcoms.Willy105
