You dont make sense, "Were talking about Mario here", Yeah and so im talking about Halo3 whith it previous games scoring 9.7 and 9.4, Im talking about ut3 which is made my epic who make the ut games and Geow which scored 9.6 btw not to mention gta4 which the 3 previous games last gen scored 9.6 on each one, Spore is made my the person who made The Sims and i could go on for ever so that debunks that argument.

As i said above when is the last time a platformer got Goty, Also Mario platformers aint AAA, Mario 64 brang something new and btw got out scored by Banjo and his pal kazooie which btw the new one is coming to the 360 with the original development team and Mario sunshine ony got an 8 on Gs, So no i totally disagree what you said and infact i believe i said more than enough to justice Mario not being consider for goty condender and this giving moment, Pehaps in the future, But not right now.

Gameplay:  This looks amazing!  Each world looks really fun and unique.  The game seems to have lots of Mario-type puzzles which can't be bad.  This goes back to the deceptively simple gameplay of the great Mario games (one of the reasons I lost interest with Mario Sunshine part-way through is because FLUDD made things too complicated for a Mario game, and this seems to be going back to the simplicity of the other games).  One of the things I didn't like about Sunshine was that (from what I played) there were very few classic enemies in the game.  The only one I can think of is that one Petey.  However, this brings back all the greats, such as Goombas, Bullet Bills, etc., and even some which we haven't seen in a long time (such as those caterpillar enemies from Mario World).  Also this game seems to take advantage of the Wiimote to show put Mario through a "Revolution."  (something that I think will happen with more Nintendo series as time goes on)

Graphics:  Obviously it isn't as good as the PS3 and 360.  However, this is by far the best looking Wii game that I have ever seen.  Not only does it take advantage of the Wii hardware in a way that we haven't seen from any devs so far, it also looks great in an artistic way which Nintendo is known for.  This is the most beautiful Mario game that I've ever seen.

Simply put, this is my most anticipated Wii game, and in fact my most anticipated game from both the Wii and 360 (I don't care about the PS3...).  I seriously cannot wait.  It's a good thing that Nintendo is doing everything that they can to make sure that I have a lot of games to play between now and when this game comes out, including releasing Super Paper Mario (which also looks like a very fun and innovative Mario game, but pales in comparison).

I'm not sure if this will get GOTY, because there are lots of great games coming out, but it will definitely be great.

My faith in nintendo is renewed. That trailer has just shown me why SMG smashes every single game thats coming out for either the 360 or the ps3 to oblivion. I don't care what any1 says, graphically it looks amazing, and that blue horizon just looks beautiful.. The gameplay is ingenious, and takes platforming to a level that banjo or ratchet will never reach.

This is where System wars breaks down, The arguments go round and round, Gamespots give a common ground which neither people can argue on, That how it works and if you dont like then **** ***, But siriosly its your opinion and your have the right to voice it but really your talking alot of ****.

Gta for example created a whole genre to itself and pretty much created the whole free roaming thing and with the other games they did what ever they did but as for Mario, My main argument is when was a platformer awarded goty.

You got me their but im not discounting Gs score im just pointing out that other gaming sites chose it for goty but i dont see a platformer even been nominated and ill will except its not goty on gamespot but i will point out it had the quality to be nominated on gamespot and be chosen for goty on other sites, Im buying Mario Galaxy, Theirs no ifs buts about it but how can anyone say Mario Galaxy is Goty for sure, I think Mass effect is the best game ever but with Crysis and Bio Shock i know their of the same quality and is dependent of the reviewers.

Kayne and Lynch more than likely will be a AA game but if anyone has played Riddick than they would understand that hyping The Darkness AAA isnt all that crazy, The list was a  indicator of how many games their were that they would have to consider and i could of put more even better than Kayne and Lynch i just felt it was good enough to get a nod.

Take note, A developer in the jump to next genaration could have had a clear out, Money invested, Better setup, The right hardware to go from meditocrity to a excellent game.

Has a Platformer got goty anyware in the past 10 years, I belive Kotor got it every where except for Gamespot, Secondly a trailer is just a trailer- To build hype, I judge my upcoming games on past performences on the developers previous games, Game like Heavenly Sword i reserve my right for judgement just a few months before release date or if its has plenty of info before i label its the best game ever better than anything the360/ps3/pc has got, like someone just said, As with Mario which to honsest needs a change up which is possible with Mg but ill wait a bit before i say Goty for certain for any game.

I just look at the games of 07 and think Mario as a platformer wont be able to win goty with so many other games, It will have to be leaps and bounds above the rest.

You got me their but im not discounting Gs score im just pointing out that other gaming sites chose it for goty but i dont see a platformer even been nominated and ill will except its not goty on gamespot but i will point out it had the quality to be nominated on gamespot and be chosen for goty on other sites, Im buying Mario Galaxy, Theirs no ifs buts about it but how can anyone say Mario Galaxy is Goty for sure, I think Mass effect is the best game ever but with Crysis and Bio Shock i know their of the same quality and is dependent of the reviewers.

This shows the Wii can provide excellent (Although not PS3 and 360 levels mind you.) graphics if one tries and this looks like another genious project from Miyamoto.

Their about 50 goty contenders, Take you pick of which will fall, Why Will Mg be better than the rest, Im pretty sure that some have to go and it might be Mg even if you dont like it, Theirs game i see that could make it but i see others games that have the same rights based on hype, footage and past developer succuess.
