ROUND 3 - THE SENSATIONAL SIXTEEN
We started with 64 of gaming's most recognized ladies, and now into the 3rd round, we are down to 16. Which takes us to the Q&A portion of our special System Wars Pageant. When asked how you would make gaming more enriching for... ah... and they all answered, "world peace". Yes... how inspring :| Moving along...
I have an important announcement to make. While the voting rules remain the same as before, when we get into Round 4 next week for the semi-finals, I'm introducing a new gamer changer that'll really hake things up with the possibilities of who will progress to the Final Round. But again, this is only for next week, in Round 3 the rules stay the same (outlined below).
Back to the essentials;
With so many female protagonists in the genre that embody great character qualities. From beauty, to charm, wit, charisma, courage, valour, intelligence, there's ,much that makes these ladies so endearing to us. Once just the damsels in distress that awaited their rescuers, now female characters are invaluable allies that makes it possible for the team to accomplish great feats and overcome insurmountable odds, or maybe that lone warrior that evil across the galaxy fears the most. Chances are, no they'll be the ones to rescue you.
And now here's your chance to voice your feelings on who from the pantheon of gaming is the very best representative of Girl Power!!
Round 3 begins now and closes Fri Jul 29 (approx 4pm EST)
Firsts things first, since there's too many women beginning this to post all at once in the thread, if you haven't already download the PDF BOOK which is the complete reference guide. Thanks to The_Game21x for hosting the book. Also recommend you right click the link and save the file to your HDD.
** it should also be noted, the book was updated sine last week. Both with a new cover that reflects the revised theme of this contest, as well as corrections to mistakes that were pointed out to me, including Bayonetta (spelling error), Sheva, and Kerrigan.
And now to present, the results of Round 1 and the new voting match ups for Round 2. You can see the results of the last round in the red brackets that determined the winners making their way forward. Also for easier reading, check the LARGE version of the chart.
To find a particular lady, they are all sorted alphabetically by the game they are featured in, not they're own names, so that all the girls of a game set are grouped together (Mass Effect, FF13, Street Fighter, DAO, etc..) It begins with Beyonetta (game of the same name) and ends with Triss Merigold from (the) Witcher 2.
THE RULES
* The votes you list must must MUST comply with the chart above. You can't simply name who you like. In the case of Lightning vs Sheva, you have to choose one or the other. You can't vote for both if you like both, only one can proceed to the next round. Failure to comply with the allotted voting slots will mean your post will NOT be counted when it's time to take the tally.
* You'll notice that each slot is numbered, so your votes must correspond to the assigned slots. Basically just type up a complete list (from 1-32 in round 1, 1-16 in round 2, etc...) with the correct name of your choice in each number. Just see my example in the next post. Again if your votes don't comply with the designated chart placement, the post won't be counted.
* ALL SLOTS MUST BE VOTED FOR IN EACH ROUND, though you can leave some of the number lines blank and go back to it and edit that later while the round is still active. And yes you can change a vote for any slot at any time before the poll cut off. If you do change your vote, don't create it in new post, EDIT your original post with your votes.
* Feel free to post pictures of who you're cheering for in this contest, and any other of your personal favourites. This is even ENCOURAGED. Just watch what you do post, because the mods are watching this ;)
* You MUST be at least level 5 to participate. This is of course to prevent alt accounts from padding the ballots. I'm sure you all understand.
