Honestly, I don't appreciate Nintendo crapping out Pokemon games constantlywhen they could be making another Starfox (besides N64 ports)or another F-Zero.

An F-Zero for the Wii-U would have the potential to be an amazing game.

I would have given Uncharted 3 a 9.5

It was my GotY runner up behind Crysis 2.

I played like 30 of the best games of 2011 (critically), and Killzone 3, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 (campaign) and Crysis 2 stood out from the pack. I haven't played my copies of Skyrim, Dark Souls, Portal 2 or Deus Ex Human Revolution yet, and I felt like Arkham Asylum was better than Arkham City.

I like to spoil things for myself. I know that the whole storyline behind MGS is a big conspiracy theory anyway.

I just reserved Xenoblade Chronicles at Gamestop and paid for it in full. Feels good, man...

The last game I bought on day 1 was Grand Theft Auto 4. The only other game I bought day 1 this gen was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I never buy games day 1, and I really don't ever plan to do so again, but I just have a feeling that Xenoblade Chronicles will have the same fate as Metroid Prime Trilogy, only being available for a short period of time in NA.

I think playing your first Metal Gear Solid game on 3DS would leave a bad first impression of the series. Not having that 2nd analog stick to control the camera would really suck, and I'm not sure how that will leave you feeling about the series. MGS HD Collection would be the way to go, IMO.

Ah, okay. I was just sayin', I could see how someone would get the wrong idea, or a bad first impression playing MGS3 with 3DS controls rather than dual analog controls. I plan on getting the Snake Eater 3D for my 3DS, but more as a collector's item than to play. I really don't think the game would play well at all without the circle pad pro, using the face buttons to control the camera.

Although, if you have the circle pad pro, I would probably recommend it, but without it, the game is really hard to recommend, coming from a huge MGS fan. My 3DS is incompatible with a circle pad pro, because I have the power pak plus installed on mine because of the horrible stock battery on the 3DS. The cpp doesn't fit on the system with the power pak plus battery installed.

It works far better than what people think it will. People who think that every game needs dual analog is onlydeluding themselves. It can be done using other means. That is, the ABXY for camera.

It's an analogy, meaning that while you can substitute toilet paper for sand paper and still manage to wipe your ass, the results probably will not be pleasant, similar to how using face buttons instead of a 2nd analog to control the camera would still manage to move the camera, but the results would not be pleasant.

I was just reading lots of reviews, and they agree with what my common sense already told me.

"However without the Circle Pad Pro, this game can be frustrating, featuring an awkward layout and a camera controlled with the portable's four primary face buttons. That an extra accessory is practically a necessity exposes the system's inherent flaws, and unfortunately damages the game in the process."

But by all means, buy the game, dude. I'm not telling you not to. All I was saying was that it would probably be a bad way to introduce someone to the franchise, but if it is your only option, go for it.

Enemies detecting me despite being me behind them, moving as slowly as I can, and having maxed out Sneak

And more have plagued my second playthrough of New Vegas, but I still kept playing anyways. What's happened to me now just crosses the line:

Wow, I just watched the video review for SSX in IGN. That game looks so much better than I expected it to be. This gen is seriously the best gen of video games ever. I know people will complain about everything, but this gen seriously has so many good releases of so many good games.
