Are you going to accept it? :P Well getting to Japan might be a problem. :(

XD Not really worth it in my opinion, it seemed nice and all Tim offered but a little bit too much work for little money. I'm better off working at microsoft where the actual money is.

It happened in late may, but very few people knew who I was before being a mod. I recognize you though.Thanks.
I really liked your old avatar and signature but we all need to change avy and signature after so long :P, i got bored of MR bean and lucky star. Hey I haven't seen you around at hype recently man, we miss you :(Well, I am still watching the second Mission Briefing in MGS IV. Been doing this for at least 10-15 minutes.
MGS4 can be annoying with the cut scenes, but what I hate the most is that you have to install after every chapter... why not let me install the whole game and be done with it. :x Still a great game.Well, I am still watching the second Mission Briefing in MGS IV. Still, they went crazy with mgs4. :PMGS4 and Uncharted are interactive movies. Best watched on youtube with popcorn.Heavy Rain is a self declared interactive movie, or "Drama" or whatever and it was actually pretty neat, you're literally playing a movie where your decisions affect the course of the story. Games with a strong focus on cinematic cut scenes and story telling are nowhere near Heavy Rain on that regard.Calvin079

Was the game a little heavy on cutscenes? Yes, but that doesn't make it an interactive drama/movie.
may as well be. There is no actual you controlling the character. Its watching him do stuff and then up pops "triangle to shoot" then you watch him shoot 5 guys with one bullet (obvious exaggeration, but you get my point)[QUOTE="verbtex"]

I have no problems with long cutscenes. Metal Gear Solid has always been heavy on dialog. The kind of voice acting and in game cutscenes seen in Metal Gear Solid was ground breaking, and a huge deal at the time. It's nothing new to the franchise.
If anything, the cutscenes in video games today are just something that comes along with having the technology that we do today. It really takes nothing away from a game. You have the ability to skip cutscenes if you so desire. The days of text boxes are long gone. Games have cinematics and voice acting now. It's just a natural evolution.
Cutscenes don't take anything away from a game, they only add to it. No offense, Calvin, but weren't you telling me yesterday that you only had a Wii this generation? I have to admit, usually the people that have the biggest problems with the cutscenes in Metal Gear Solid and Uncharted are the people that haven't played them or don't even have them. It is just the cookie cutter argument used to discredit the games, when in fact they are 2 of the best games this generation.

I have a Wii, so? I also have a PC and a 3DS. XBOX and PS3 don't have anything I want. Besides, if I can get a game's plotline by watching a playthrough on GS or youtube or read a game script on GFAQS, I do so. Helps me determine what the game contains and if it has objectionable content beyond what's written on the ESRB label. I don't mind cutscenes to advance the plot. (Snake Eater for example) Its when the game seems to be all cutscenes (UC, MGS4) and no gameplay, that's where it crosses the line. I thought Dead Space was another interactive movie until I saw "Use these controls to do basic attacks." That's when I knew it was a game.I have no problems with long cutscenes. Metal Gear Solid has always been heavy on dialog. The kind of voice acting and in game cutscenes seen in Metal Gear Solid was ground breaking, and a huge deal at the time. Oh my jesus christ.
When will people learn the difference between Cinematic gaming and Interactive Movie.
Heavy Rain is an Interactive Movie. There's no denying it.
MGS4, Uncharted, are CINEMATIC HEAVY games that try to balance Gameplay and cinematics. MGS4 does indeed have long cutscenes, but it also has plenty of Gameplay that allows you to tackle the situation in pretty much a multitude of ways. Same with uncharted, though a little less of that last part.

You don't see me running around telling everybody how terrible Stronghold 3 is, despite the fact that it has been absolutely thrashed by reviewers. You want to know why? Because I don't own the game and any opinion I have about it hold absolutely no merit.
I actually respected you for your loyalty to such a critically lambasted game (Stronghold 3) and how genuine you were about the games shortcomings, but today you have proved to everybody on this forum that you are a complete moron.
