I'm so happy... just tested my colossus HD PVR and its working, fully operational 8). Now i can record HYPE's gamenights and make my own playthrough videos without annoying offscreen tripods in front of my TV.

Nope. XD Not really worth it in my opinion, it seemed nice and all Tim offered but a little bit too much work for little money. I'm better off working at microsoft where the actual money is.

MGS4 can be annoying with the cut scenes, but what I hate the most is that you have to install after every chapter... why not let me install the whole game and be done with it. :x Still a great game.

I just started Act 3 and while the game is very well made (very) I don't yet see why this game had the impact it did back when it launched. The attention to detail I adore.

Calvin079

Heavy Rain is a self declared interactive movie, or "Drama" or whatever and it was actually pretty neat, you're literally playing a movie where your decisions affect the course of the story. Games with a strong focus on cinematic cut scenes and story telling are nowhere near Heavy Rain on that regard.

Was the game a little heavy on cutscenes? Yes, but that doesn't make it an interactive drama/movie.

You are very mistaken if you think I'm a fanboy. You ought to know by now that I'm anything but. I had said discussion with shadowmoses about UC being interactive movies and he tried to make the same argument. You know who supported me? Two other PS3 owners who had the "game." They too said it was basically an interactive movie. So, am I a truth teller or a blind fanboy? your call.

may as well be. There is no actual you controlling the character. Its watching him do stuff and then up pops "triangle to shoot" then you watch him shoot 5 guys with one bullet (obvious exaggeration, but you get my point)

I can have an opinion about something whether I've played (or in this case watched it or not) so it most certainly holds merit. If you didn't call me a fanboy you most certianly implied it. Also, I bet I'm older than you, so learn some facts before hating someone with no reason.

I have no problems with long cutscenes. Metal Gear Solid has always been heavy on dialog. The kind of voice acting and in game cutscenes seen in Metal Gear Solid was ground breaking, and a huge deal at the time. It's nothing new to the franchise.

If anything, the cutscenes in video games today are just something that comes along with having the technology that we do today. It really takes nothing away from a game. You have the ability to skip cutscenes if you so desire. The days of text boxes are long gone. Games have cinematics and voice acting now. It's just a natural evolution.

Cutscenes don't take anything away from a game, they only add to it. No offense, Calvin, but weren't you telling me yesterday that you only had a Wii this generation? I have to admit, usually the people that have the biggest problems with the cutscenes in Metal Gear Solid and Uncharted are the people that haven't played them or don't even have them. It is just the cookie cutter argument used to discredit the games, when in fact they are 2 of the best games this generation.

I have a Wii, so? I also have a PC and a 3DS. XBOX and PS3 don't have anything I want. Besides, if I can get a game's plotline by watching a playthrough on GS or youtube or read a game script on GFAQS, I do so. Helps me determine what the game contains and if it has objectionable content beyond what's written on the ESRB label. I don't mind cutscenes to advance the plot. (Snake Eater for example) Its when the game seems to be all cutscenes (UC, MGS4) and no gameplay, that's where it crosses the line. I thought Dead Space was another interactive movie until I saw "Use these controls to do basic attacks." That's when I knew it was a game.

Oh my jesus christ.

When will people learn the difference between Cinematic gaming and Interactive Movie.

Heavy Rain is an Interactive Movie. There's no denying it.

MGS4, Uncharted, are CINEMATIC HEAVY games that try to balance Gameplay and cinematics. MGS4 does indeed have long cutscenes, but it also has plenty of Gameplay that allows you to tackle the situation in pretty much a multitude of ways. Same with uncharted, though a little less of that last part.

F*cking SW and its Hyperbole's :/

I can have an opinion about something whether I've played (or in this case watched it or not) so it most certainly holds merit. If you didn't call me a fanboy you most certianly implied it. Also, I bet I'm older than you, so learn some facts before hating someone with no reason.

Oh sure you can have an opinion, it just doesn't mean jack sh!t to anyone because it isn't an informed opinion, the only kind that counts. Play the games before you start slinging out your bullsh!t.

You don't see me running around telling everybody how terrible Stronghold 3 is, despite the fact that it has been absolutely thrashed by reviewers. You want to know why? Because I don't own the game and any opinion I have about it hold absolutely no merit.

I actually respected you for your loyalty to such a critically lambasted game (Stronghold 3) and how genuine you were about the games shortcomings, but today you have proved to everybody on this forum that you are a complete moron.

And lol @ bringing age into this as if it means anything. I'm 23, come at me bro.

You can have an opinon all you want, but don't act shocked when someone calls you out on it because they think your opinion is terrible because you know, this is a forum.

Never been called out before. Most people either argue or ignore me. Not blindly attack me like a rabid animal.
