How do i use a ps3 controller on PC ? HELPTheGuardian03
Motion In Joy is the program you want. It's fairly simple to do, but I'll tell you here.
Download the program from the website and install it. Afterwards, run the program. Plug in the PS3 remote to the computer through the USB cord, then go to "Driver Manager." There, you will "install all" drivers. When that finishes, go back to profiles and the white bar should say Dualshock 3 (USB). Scroll down near battery information, check "1" (player one), and click enable. To make sure it works, click "vibration testing." If it shakes, it's good to go. To save time, underneath "Select one mode:," choose "Xbox 360 Controller Emulator" and push enable again. All games should run with a similar setup as the 360 so the games should be plug and play. You might have to switch the trigger buttons depending on the game, but it usually isn't required.
Optional: If you have a bluetooth adapter, you can hook up the PS3 controller wirelessly. If you have the bluetooth plugged in, you will install it back at the "Driver Manager" section. After installing, you will go to Bluetooth pair and "connect" the PS3 controller to the bluetooth adapter. It will work the same as if it were connected by USB.
Note: when you use Motion In Joy normally, you will be connected online. To use the program offline, you have to download "local" files. You would drag and drop it in the folder where Motion In Joy is installed.
