Well so far I thought the story was ok,and I´ve heard it picks up later on so I can´t really complain about it. It´s an ok JRPG story,I guess. The lack of loads is pretty good,but as far as the combat goes I would´ve prefered something like DQ8 or FFX.Arach666

Oh wow, you are in the first 15 hours(I think). I love the boss fight on that planet...yeah you have awhile until you get until the point I'm talking about. Maybe 10 hours or more.

I got the PAL Dark Chronicle copy with the superior boxart :D. Get it Arach666, it has like... town-building elements.

I struggle ranking them, but i'd say Dark Chronicle is their best with DQIX, the 3rd Layton & Curious Village not far behind it. I thought RG lost it's charm towards the end and DQVIII started off rather slow and suffers from pacing issues with that large world + high random encounter rates - still great games though.

I just got owned in the Third Age. (Medieval 2 Kingdoms total conversion mod; basically, Total War gameplay in the Lord of the Rings Universe = EPIC)
