For Souls, Dark and Demon's Souls are considered different franchises, so they would count separately, but Demon's Sous is disqualified for being a standalone game, so only Dark Souls counts.

Shin Megami Tensei is considered separate from Persona.

Different Mario series are different franchises- Super Mario, Mario Kart, Mario Sports, Mario Party, and so on.

Zelda's a regular old franchise.

I started gaming with Mario but it didn't really hook me.. Many times when I was bored of gaming and on the verge of quitting these hooked my like no other.. FF on PS1, MGS on PS2,and Souls currently

Edited my 3rd entry it was Ratchet & Clank but I decided to switch it to Uncharted.

Civilization has given me more hours per dollar of gaming than any other gaming franchise. There are other games that are more fun, technically impressive, or culturally relevant...but Civ truly stretches my entertainment dollar further than any other game.

So SMT and Persona are being counted separately? Ehhh, whatever. Keep my vote the way it is. I still like the SMT games as a whole more even though Persona 3 and 4 are the best of the "group."

Yes. In Japan, Persona and Shin Megami Tensei have always been separate series, Atlus USA just used the SMT banner to promote Persona 3 in the US when it released, because Nocturne had been such a big hit for them. But Persona and SMT have never been part of the same franchise- at most they fall into the same metaseries (Megami Tensei) and metaseries aren't eligible for this voting round.

But yeah, I'll keep your vote as is lol.
