@ghosts4ever: Na, if want to watch some Asian action just watch an Asian movie.

@nintendoboy16:
People can say whatever they like about the Prequels, but Lucas had a fairly epic, concise story.
Give Alex Jones credit, he understood TP far better than the majority of gimmick Youtube reviewers.
He also correctly predicated a rich elite cabal of paedophiles, for which he's still not been credited.
Having said that, he said everyone was one. Also lizards.
There was some Youtube talking head, I think it was Sam Sedar but not completely sure, that summed up the problem with Alex Jones. So, not a direct quote but the basic gist:
If he didn't come about on his own, the CIA would have created someone like him. A source that propagates mostly bullshit, but throws in some actual conspiracy once in a while to kill the credibility of the idea in the public eye. Pizzagate is the type of thing you make up, to bury the truth about guys like Jeffery Epstein.
@judaspete: If only we listened.
Maybe he should have shouted louder.
But yea, believe what you're describing is a literal plot point in Xfiles lol
Speaking of that, def not big on S6 of the Xfiles. Few good episodes here and there, but the humour feels kinda forced compared to earlier seasons.
"Alpha" and "Arcadia" seems like the first out and out dud episodes.
Had Garek in it as well, totally wasted.
@warm_gun: I agree with you about The Last Jedi and how JJ handled Rise of Skywalker. TLJ is a flawed movie, but every decision was made for the right reasons, even the parts that didn't quite work (Canto Byte). What sucks is Trevorrow wrote a perfectly good finale. Yeah, there are some weird parts to his script, but it builds on what came before it, and ties it all together in a coherent way.
Returnal is terrific so far.
Like: Good controls, excellently paced with the shoot-em-up esque gameplay and alien vibes.
Dislike: Difficult and usual grind with bosses.
Man that season 7 three parters of Xfiles was pretty terrible. The mythology lore with the syndicate episodes in prev was slowly built over time with a good payoff (if somewhat unresolved).
This shit's a mess.
@Pedro: Yeah, that was the other initial odd thing with the game. Suspend the cycle when exiting. Lol ugh.
had an email thanking me for participating in the elden ring network test and asking me to fill out a survey. i didn't get an invite?! if i did and missed it 😳
edit: hasty apology email sent soon after lol
An email requesting for the participation in the ELDEN RING Closed Network Test survey was sent earlier and fans who were unable to take part in the Closed Network Test were included in the mailing list.
We understand the frustration and disappointment you're feeling and we're really sorry for the inconvenience caused. We would appreciate it if you could disregard the email.
We are very sorry and we promise to do better.

@hardwenzen: Na, lots of people watch this shit. They just don't like to admit it.
The Youtube stuff is generally better than the TV stuff imo. As they tend to be more matter-of-fact. Whereas if you watch a crime doc, particular an American one, got all the violins and the wanna be Citizen Kane director dramatizing it all.
Be checking this out, but recommend That Chapter, videos aren't as in depth, but act as good bite sized content.
Although no murder actually happened, this one is still one of the most interesting and (unintentionally funny) vids. After lit trying to set up a hitman to kill her hubby, phones him up acting like a teenage girl whose birthday party he ruined.
Her lawyer as well, comedically slimey. Could get a job at Ubisoft.

Yea, i saw everything from JCS, but haven't heard of The Chapter, so now i am stuck with a shitload of videos to watch😪
Interesting watching Vince Gilligans earlier stuff. Hunger's kinda like a little proto-Walter White character. Think one fav episodes so far. That and Bad Blood.
So I watched Drive for first time. was expecting Transporter like full blown car chase action movie.
what I got slower paced, weird romantic movie starting ryan gosling with extreme voilence which is only last 20-30 mintue movie.
Terrible movie.
@ghosts4ever: what do you think of Transporter? Also, have you seen Faster?
Transporter is incredible movie. although faster is Dwayne johnson movie I mostly avoid.
in transporter. a badass jason statham cast against cute asian girl who is exact opposite of each other lol.
@ghosts4ever: Drive is bizzare. Taken as a whole I sort of liked it. You spend two-thirds of the movie waiting for ANYTHING to happen and then suddenly EVERYTHING HAPPENS! But I don't really recomend it, and would never watch it again.
Transporter is dope though. Jason Statham should be knighted.
Returnal is so damn good. Someone posing as a failed mod, talking bad about the game means nothing to me.
I'll still go see the new spiderman movie but damn I'm really starting to believe that Tobey and Andrew aren't in it.
@uninspiredcup: Raimi spiderman movies are far superior to the new ones for sure. Cant wait to see what he does with Dr.Strange.
Might give Wheel Of Time of shot. Although it sounds like the books might be the better option. The series looks like something from the 1990's. Half expecting Xena or Kevin Sorbo to show up.
Rave reviews.
@sancho_panzer: This is kind of true, do have a habit of watching shows and movies designed for children... Simple brain.

Spiderman 2 and ROTS have two of fav CGI scenes as well. It was at that time mid 2000's where CGI looked decent but not ultra realistic, so it's sort of like you're watching a mish-mash of live-action and cartoon.
The opening and pull out shot of Doc Ock 10/10.
Watched Spider-Man: Far From Home few months back and the London bridge scene with the gazillion drones almost put me to sleep. It was almost impressive how much money and effort was on-screen evoking nothing but apathy.
Pretty much everything in the opening scene of ROTS is dope.
Trying to remember single battle from the Disney movies and can't. Guess that scene where the Death Star goes "pew" in Rogue One is kind of dope? But beyond that, can't really remember shit.
@xantufrog: Only been aware of it mainly through an old ass game. Def check it out, most likely on Kindle. When they do this stuff on-screen pretty much always change it and never really matches the image in your mind. This show def looks low budget, which is weird considering the amount of money Amazon amass.
@uninspiredcup:Whatever floats your boat. But..
The bit I don't get is when grown men drone on about how underdeveloped the character was for the little boy in those prequels. Well yeah... because these are films for kids and presumably reflect the intended audience's attitudes and interests.
Or how puerile all the Jar Jar Binks stuff was. Ditto.
Like the Beverly Hills Cop films, this stuff isn't meant to be judged by grown-ups, to an adult standard, I don't think. It's just silly entertainment, and needs to be reviewed by little children, no?
@sancho_panzer: Can't say agree with that. Something made with family in mind doesn't automatically make it "below adults" and vice versa something made with adults in mind doesn't make it automatically better or worse. Neither of which deserving or equal or lesser critical eye. Just a critical eye.
We've seen this logic in the video game spectrum as well with people looking down on Nintendo because they make family oriented products, when in reality if you ask anyone with even a basic semblance of video game knowledge you'll see them rightly praised.
In regard to Anakin, specifically if talking about Episode 1, Lucas made him deliberately optimistic to contrast it with Episode 2/3 as the character becomes increasingly disillusioned and groomed. Unlike the Sequel movies these have a very clear A-Z narrative. The character on a whole is extremely well-developed.
Could ramble about it, but if care, which probably don't, better just watch these.
Short version
Long version
The main scenes to take away from Episode 1 though are this and this.
Also seen people kinda shitting on the MCU. While i'm personally burnt out and stopped caring a while back, it does kind of come across as filmmakers upset to see a successful thing that doesn't appeal to them making lots of money than actual criticism of the movies being bad.
Sour grapes.
I’d argue the Holland movies are overall better than the Raimi movies, but one thing the Raimi movies do better is that they have moments of no dialogue. In the Holland movies, every single second has dialogue in it, theres no breather.
I think that's a problem with a lot of the MCU movies. They have this, comedy smug Starbucks dialogue. Cute at first but gets old.
One of the problems imo with the Sequel movies, they try to replicate it, and it just doesn't work.
Stuff like the Hux "Yo mamma scene" is pure cringe. And not in the endearing Prequel kind of way where it's hammy but earnest dialogue. Just a totally misplaced failed attempt at comedy.
@uninspiredcup: I don't know, man. Not sure about that family movie epiphet. I've never really heard of families watching Spider-Man together... just boys around Peter Parker's age in general, or more often, much, much younger. Nothing wrong with watching or even enjoying that stuff ofc, but I'd personally try to recognise who the target audience is. Always felt pretty awkward reading pretentious film critics slamming the Postman Pat film or what have you.
Same goes for Star Wars. It's clearly space nonsense for kids. Watching critics furrow their brows over disposable adventure pop, desperately trying to puff up its 2-D characterisation into something meaningful... it's a wee bit absurd.
@uninspiredcup: Not trolling at all. Once upon a time this would all have been obvious to everyone. If anything, it's the shills pushing these franchises as seriously big brainy art who are doing the trolling (and quite succesfully!!).
Kevin Sorbo isn't the man I remember growing up with his Hercules show. He's so into the politics as of lately.
Are you able to watch the old show, or has he ruined it for you?

Oh I used to rewatch them on Netflix before they took them off. I still favor Sorbo's Hercules and when I did rewatch them several years ago, the series didn't really age well. Xena on the other hand is still fun to watch but sadly I haven't started watching the series again. But I do remember Sy-Fy channel did show them again but with the time slot not in my favors, I'm unable to watch it.
Edit: I'm just not a fan of Kevin Sorbo's political stance.
