[QUOTE="soulitane"] Congratulations on the job and I haven't heard of it, though after looking it up it seems all the news there is about bioware :o :Pspookykid143

One of the guys working there is a Bioware fan...

I'll flood it with Nintendo news though, don't worry.

If you review ME3 you should flop it:twisted:

I don't think I'll need to, from the looks of it, it's turning out to be an absolute disaster so far :(

Considering ME2 is an absolute disaster, you shouldn't expect anything less for ME3.

I actually loved ME2. It's ME3 that just looks like a very poor third person shooter, and a highly laughable RPG.

[QUOTE="AcidSoldner"] Depends on what your into. If your into in depth turn-based strategy games then give the old X-COMs a go.funsohng

Well I love games like Europa Universalis 3 and Empire: Total War. Is it similar to those?

Actually a question to you: I love total war games, especially the empire management (sometimes I skip battles, especially the siege ones just to focus on management), would I like Europa Universalis III, Victoria II, and Hearts of Iron III? Victoria II 6.79 on steam, so I'm asking this question now lol

Yeah, definitely. They're a bit more complex than Empire but still really, really good.

[QUOTE="AcidSoldner"][QUOTE="whiskeystrike"]

I hereby dedicate this month to all the sidescrolling platformers and action adventure games I've never played but wanted to but been to lazy to bother to!

I will be playing through all the 2d Super Marios, Kirbys, Donkey Kongs, Metroids, Castlevanias, Raymans and Megamans.

Before I've only played through Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Super Castlevania IV and Rayman. Should be fun

Any other big series like the aforementioned I should put on my radar?

whiskeystrike

You should throw in Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD.

Oh wow, comletely forgot about the Sonic series lol. Will jot those down.

I would have listed more but I posted that in between Gears 3 rounds. :P I'd suggest getting the excellent Sonic CD re-release on PSN and XBL. It's running on a custom build engine that looks exactly like the original but in HD glory. Plus it has both the Japanese and American soundtracks which have been debated over to hell and back by the Sonic community as to which is best. For the Sonics, 1 and 2 can be found on nearly every system now but Sonic 3 & Knuckles needs to be played on the Genesis as they haven't re-released it as the one game that it's meant to be and only separately as Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles. Some more platformers I really enjoyed: Batman (NES) Ristar Alex Kidd in Miracle World Bionic Commando Duck Tales 1 & 2 Aladdin (Genesis or PC if possible) Klonoa Tomba! I'll throw some more up when I remember what else I've played and enjoyed :P

You should see if you can find a Nintendo WiFi USB adapter near you. You plug in to any computer and it creates a hotspot for your DS and 3DS. A Gamestop near my house (currently 9 hours away from it) had one for $14. The reason I don't have it is because I asked my mom to pick it up for me while I was up here.

Maybe, but I usually don't like going on online really. I usually just do wireless trade and battles with my friend. I feel... unprotected online.

A fresh new lounge. *rushes in the door, grabs a drink, and sits down for a moment*

Nice to know a little background, Valiant_Rebe. It's always nice to see tidbits about random stuff.

Anime topic.... if I don't like anime, which series do you think would eventually convert me? Am I forever going to dislike Anime like The Sims franchise?

I think they both look sick.

The one I saw at E3 and PAX looked cool. Maxwell McGee had a closer look at it though, and would not stop talking about it at E3.

slashless was suspended for sharing how to suspension/ban dodge stuff. Whether any of his stuff was true or not, he got suspended for it (we've banned for stuff like that during the ancient ToU days). He can probably get his reinstatement earlier if he sends Synthia his side of the story and an apology via customer support. :)

*looks at time* I'll have to drop again later.

I have wi-fi but it's WPA connection and my DS lite only works with WEP. I can't change the connection because I share the house with 5 other people, two of whom I have not met yet since moving in October.

My dear, watch Cowboy Bebop or Samurai Champloo. They may not convert you into liking anime, but you will like both for being excellent shows. They're both only 26 episodes and the majority of episodes are stand-alone so you'll be doing just fine with them. Two of my all-time favorites. Not too big into anime myself. :P

There are good reasons to use WPA over WEP on your router, since WPA has better security, but do what you want to do. I don't want to push you into anything.

Is Super Meat Boy playable on a keyboard?whiskeystrike
Yes and no. Yes as it will work and no because you'll probably snap your keyboard in half. You'll really need a controller. The velocity of a stick is pretty much a requirement for SMB.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is my personal favorite and instantly turned me into an anime fan.

Then again I've only watched a few series myself.

There are good reasons to use WPA over WEP on your router, since WPA has better security, but do what you want to do. I don't want to push you into anything.

Valiant_Rebel

I can't change it even if I want to. It's not my router or my connection lol

I was actually referring to when you move out and you decide to get or use a router.

I always use WPA anyway.

I used to love anime but I don't anymore. So many stupid and disgusting animes out there, while the actual good ones go unnoticed. In movies, the good indie movies and other good non-blockbusters may get less attention with the audiences, but the critics love them, and that love sometimes translates to audiences loving it later on too. But in anime, there is no such thing. The whole audience and critics (what little of them actually are present) are so focused in one specific aspect (ie. moe or action) that deep analysis are almost nowhere to be seen. To this date, I can't believe people actually liked that disturbingly horrible ending of Code Geass, while good animes like Aoi Hana are just ignored completely because they aren't following the "trend".

Truth, A lot of anime is now sickening I disliked the Code Geass ending but it is still one of my favorite Animes and this Aoi Hana must be good

It's great, but if you will like it or not depends on your taste.

Yeah it is pretty great.

I agree with your overall point, btw. Anime has definitely been on a steady decline since the new millenium. Tis a shame, oh well. :(

So I downloaded DOTA 2 today. I never got an invite or anything, but when I went to my games on Steam, it was available for download. None of my other friends are able to do this.
