[QUOTE="funsohng"]I used to love anime but I don't anymore. So many stupid and disgusting animes out there, while the actual good ones go unnoticed. In movies, the good indie movies and other good non-blockbusters may get less attention with the audiences, but the critics love them, and that love sometimes translates to audiences loving it later on too. But in anime, there is no such thing. The whole audience and critics (what little of them actually are present) are so focused in one specific aspect (ie. moe or action) that deep analysis are almost nowhere to be seen. To this date, I can't believe people actually liked that disturbingly horrible ending of Code Geass, while good animes like Aoi Hana are just ignored completely because they aren't following the "trend".whiskeystrike
To be honest this could be applied to any media.
Most other medias tend to have a saving grace outside of the mainstream. Anime's saving grace is significantly smaller than others.
There is still some good out there, but you have to dig hard for it.
