FixedI've been playing Tomba today and it made me wonder why games that are financially succesful are so much easier today?

I just wish New Vegas had Skyrims lighting. No shadows is just lauaghable.Stevo_the_gamerNo shadows? Oh that's probably why it looks ugly to me lol Having no shadows sorta makes things feel like they aren't even there...

I'm not sure if Tomba failed in sales, but Crash Bandicoot was successful and it was way harder than games today.

Well, what I mean is if you play more niche games you might find more challnges.-To appeal to casuals[QUOTE="Demonjoe93"]

I know how they are easier, but why? I don't get why developers are suddenly dumbing down games.

Damn those people!I get accessibility, but some games today constantly tell us how to do stuff over and over again. Assassin's Creed is one of these games.

Apparently the developer, Whoopee Camp split up in 2000. :|
I got really annoyed with Assassin's Creed Revelations today; somehow my sword got stolen or something-I don't know how the Hell that happened, lol-and I keep getting shot up by those rifle men who hide in those buildings. :x

How did you manage that?Great... Just great... My Fallout NV save file is corrupt, 2 hours in.
F*ck this game.

[QUOTE="parkurtommo"]How did you manage that? I dunno, I looked online and apparently there is an issue with autosaves, I just had to load my quicksave which as thankfully very close to where I was. Where am I supposed to go exactly? Primm? I'm in primm, talked to a luitenant, doesn't seem to be relevant. Whenever I venture out I just encounter zombies that kill me in 5 hits :/Great... One of my save files wouldn't load from a fresh start-up.
For whatever reason (Engine-related resource management issue?), starting a new game then loading the save would make it load.
Edit:
Auto-saves? Ewww. Quick-save all the way!

Only the original Crash Bandicoot was hard. 2 and 3 were much easier. 100% in crash bandicoot is fairly challenging if you're not good at platformers. A few years back I did 100% in crash 2 in like 2 days. Its not the hard.
The original Crash Bandicoot was hard for bullsh1t reasons. Why do I need to collect stupid coins and play bonus levels just to do something essential like save my game? Fvck that game smh

If you don't know where go, just follow a main road. Venturing out into the wasteland when you're not ready will get you killed. Assuming you've finished up in Primm, you should continue heading east to the Mojave Outpost.
But what am I supposed to do in primm? My quest log thing says I have to speak to someone about my delivery... I've looked all over the place and all I find are soldiers and the other side is clearly blocked...Oh.. hmm apparently I had to select the quest XD
I just didn't know where to go because I didn't have teh modern RPG pointer thing that shows you where to go and holds your hand :P
Xenoblade . . . so good. Haven't enjoyed a game this much since SMG2 and an RPG this much since well Vagrant Story. Awesome game, love love love.

Oh man, I need to continue with that game. It was downright fantastic.
I got to Frontier Village (a little after). It relies too heavily on sidequests, but overall the game blew me away. Thanks for the reminder :P
Hey, parkurtommo, there's this really cool place just east from where you are, with a fair bit of loot. The place is called Dead Wind Cavern, it's by Primm Pass. Head over there asap.illmatic87You need a secret key combination to get inside the cave. I think you have to hit Shift + Alt + F4.
I haven't even opened my copy of Xenoblade. With Diablo 3, StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft on my plate, it doesn't look like it will ever be opened. Speaking of WoW, my rogue hit 85 last night and is already pretty geared out. I liked the hardcore approach in vanilla, but considering I have much less time to play games now than I did back then, I like how it's so easy to get gear now.
Xenoblade is pretty good. Got about 60 or so hours in, then Diablo 3 happened. Still need to go back and finish it up.
This version's better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxRzR63adPoHoly f-ck! They banned DarkLink! What happened, Verbtex?!

No way! He-Man version is good because of the contrast with the original source material. Used the existing footage excellently.

Around 20 some hours.People complain about 6 hour games, but some of my favorite games are shorter than that (Limbo, Braid). I just wish games of that calibur came out more frequently.[QUOTE="Demonjoe93"][QUOTE="mitu123"] That game is probably longer than your backlog for hours to complete, unless you have more RPGs, lol.mitu123

Some games get annoying with how often they tell you what to do but on the other hand, sometimes it's nice to be reminded. There's been times when what the game has reminded me about I had forgotten because I hadn't played the game in a while or hadn't had to use the technique. I guess I'd rather be reminded than be forced to search out what I have to do and get frustrated by that.
