I've been playing STALKER call of pripyat a lot lately and I have to agree with you, there's this part where you have to explore an abandoned factory, the suspense got me sweating bullets because I know that there are a lot of mutant types that I haven't met yet... Thankfully the only mutants I found were a pack of dogs, at the end... It doesn't even bother scaring you, it just throws you in the dark and lets your imagination do the work for you. :Pparkurtommo

Well it's been years since I've played STALKER but I remember an underground bunker filled with the invisible bloodsuckers in the first one. I almost pissed myself.

To be honest I used to get scared of a lot of stupid stuff years ago. Like I was scared of raid bosses in Lineage II. WTF?

Anyways, enough about the boring mods, more about my last two weeks of gaming.

I got my last 80 stars in Super Mario Galaxy and now have all 120 (242 be damned). My Wii activity logs are disgusting. Amazing game, I hadn't used my PS3 or 360 for gaming in weeks thanks to it.

Bought my first legitimate 3DS game, Super Mario 3D Land, and beat it the day after I bought it in about six hours (first eight worlds). On Special World 3 right now, but I don't go back to it as often as I do for Galaxy. I know I shouldn't be expecting too much from it and that the levels are supposed to be bite-sized (obvious hyperbole is obvious), but I was expecting something a little more grandiose. It has fun platforming, but the fact that there's no double/triple jump and that the long jump is hard to pull off disappoints me.

Immensely.

I like the game, I just have more flaws with it than I thought I would. Hopefully we can get a SMG3DS soon or at least return to what made Super Mario 64 DS great. SM3DL is a 7.5 from me.

My friend also let me borrow Twilight Princess and SMG2. He has my LoZ Collector's Edition for GC, so I plan on getting that back soon and finishing OoT, beat MM, maybe WW if I can find it, then get started on TP.

Meanwhile, I've been playing SMG2. Really great, loving it, but way too many awesome levels with way too less stars. Shame really.

And today, I finally played my PS3 after a month. Rayman Origins was back in the library, so I borrowed it. Do miss my niece and nephew playing along side me, but a great game nonetheless.

You're probably talking about the bloodsucker lair, yeah, but since (at least supposedly) you go with a partner it wasn't very scary... I was just slightly worried about my companion because STALKER games let your allies die, for teh lulz. Doing stuff alone is scary though, god damn.parkurtommo

Wow I just looked up the Gears Triple pack on Amazon and it could be had ofr $13. That's an awesome price. Halo Anniversary is $23 and I could get 3 and ODST for under $10. 6 games for udner $50 is pretty damn good. I'm just a bit reluctant to play a Halo game because I do not plan on buying a MS console next gen so the trilogy that Halo 4 starts will be meaningless since I won't ever play it

I do have a pretty good gaming PC though, as well as a PS3

The Halo games on the 360 are one story (relatively) and definitely worth playing. Gears also. If you're really against getting a MS console next gen, just don't play Halo 4. And you never know, you could find a great deal on one and end up buying it.

Netflix has Breaking Bad therefore Netflix is godly. But seriously, great service. It's amazing for television, but there's lots of good movies to watch as well. Though, I do wish their horror selection was better.

I haven't watched TV in at least 5 months or so, I just feel so useless when I watch TV and I can't stop thinking about how weird it is for humans to pretend they're doing things they're not (actors). I probably sound like an alien now :p
