Just picked up a new game that I've been meaning to get because it's only on consoles.

There's a story behind this one. I know I said I was gonna stop buying games until Black Friday, but here's what happened. Last week, I got like 15 new games because of the buy 2 get 1 free week long promotion Best Buy had going on, so I got like 5 free games. Problem is, Twisted Metal, Street Fighter X Tekken and Mass Effect 3 were all $60 bucks and Street Fighter X Tekken ended up being the free one. It's now marked down to $39.99, and when combined with the @Gamer Best Buy store gaming magazine coupon, it's only $20 bucks right now. So I took in SFXT and asked them if I could exchange SFXT in for a different $60 dollar game, because I wanted a game actually valued at $60 bucks. She tried to deny me at first, and I asked to speak to her manager and her eyes got all big. Basically, I wasn't going to leave the store without getting what I wanted. She let me go and pick out a new game, so I went and got Dragon's Dogma instead. Then, after I exchanged it, I went over and picked up another copy of Street Fighter X Tekken and bought it for $20 bucks.

It sucks that I had to get the 360 version of Dragon's Dogma considering the PS3 version is better, but they didn't have the PS3 version in stock.

And WHUT.I never knew this user was banned.

Yeah, it's gotten to the point where I just say I'm a collector and I have come to accept the fact that I will never in my entire life play all the games I own. The fact that I'm completely sucked into World of Warcraft again doesn't help matters. WoW was the only game I played for 3 years straight, and I'm balls deep in it all over again. Not to mention I also have StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3 right now. I can safely say I won't play anything but Blizzard games for the next few years, with maybe some Battlefield 3 on the side during Battle.net maintenance.

Probabl;y a bandodger or something, but he/she was cool. A better strondeadlift.

I haven't played both versions, let alone 1 version, but I read this in the review when it first came out.

"Walking along a road, your Pawns might start going crazy over some invisible enemy that will then suddenly appear out of nowhere. Big fights cause slowdown that can freeze the screen for seconds at a time on the Xbox 360 version. Dragon?s Dogma runs much better on the PlayStation 3 than on the 360, with a smoother frame rate and fewer streaming problems; if the 360 version is your only choice, a hard disk install is mandatory to make the game playable."

Agreed. Its more difficult than it should be. If you don't have the fully upgraded contact beam its a nightmare

Hmm, I just read the Digital Foundry comparison of Dragon's Dogma, and they chose the 360 version as the better version. Maybe the IGN reviewer didn't have it installed? It's a consensus that you need to have it installed on the 360 in order for it to compete performance wise with the PS3 version. I guess it comes down to the fact that the 360 version disables V-sync in order to maintain a better framerate, whereas the PS3 version always has v-sync turned on and as a result, sometimes the framerate suffers. So you overall get better frames per second on the 360 version, but at the sacrifice of screen tearing which isn't in the PS3 version. Screen tearing doesn't really bother me that much, so I guess I'm good with the 360 version as I install all my 360 games anyways.

Its hardly a generalization. How the hell do you buy a phone and when the phone stops working they tell you we don't cover batteries? So you don't cover what makes the fuucking phone run? And you in fact won't even look at it so I can send a report to the manufacturer so I can get a new one? Yeah, Virgin Mobile and Samsung have royally pissed me off today.None of these companies care about anything other than money.
