Who played Black Mesa? I began playing it, then downloaded Dungeon Siege, and have not touched it since which is surprising given just how much of a Half Life fan I am.
Black Mesa is awesome btw. The devs did such a good job with the new textures, and environment details that sometimes I don't even realize I'm playing the original Half Life, but then I notice just the slightest bit of familiarity and I get filled with excitement.

I played through the original just this past summer. Can't be arsed to play through it again so soon.
Well if that's the case then go play Blue Shift, and Opposing Force. Those are super awesome additions to Half Life, and are too under-valued.
Blue Shift is good but Opposing Force is f*cking awesome.[QUOTE="Ly_the_Fairy"][QUOTE="whiskeystrike"]

Blue Shift is good but Opposing Force is f*cking awesome.I agree.
I owned them forever, and finally played through them early this year I think. Personally I found them as good, if not better, than Half Life 1 in many cases. It's just unfortunate they only last around 2.5 hours

While we're probably still years away from Half-Life 3, I hope that Valve, or Gearbox for that matter, continue the story of Adrian Shepard at some point. I'm more curious as to what happened to him than Gordon's next adventure to be quite honest.[QUOTE="ArisShadows"]

Manticores are nonexistent. You can be a non-fanboy and still have an overall preference to one platform. Lots of grey areas for you false fence sitters
True. I'd like to consider myself manticore but I honestly spend more time with my 360 than anything.Manticores are nonexistent. You can be a non-fanboy and still have an overall preference to one platform. Lots of grey areas for you false fence sitters

PS3. You're not a cow, you just have a PS3 preference.
I don't have an overall preference to one platform though, each of them are far from perfect for me to choose just one for preference.Manticores are nonexistent. You can be a non-fanboy and still have an overall preference to one platform. Lots of grey areas for you false fence sitters

But I've used my Wii in the past few months more than anything, bought another 360, and barely used my PS3 outside of Rayman Origins. And now my 3DS will get an immense amount of use with Black 2 coming. I'm honestly just busting your chops, but I may as well post this anyways.Manticores do exist, the term wouldn't have existed if there wasn't some relevant reasoning for it. Its has nothing to do with preferences, our preference is gaming, the games, not the systems. Nor does it have to do with how much time you spend with one system verus another. Its simply people who own or like to own multiple systems, paricularly all of them, if possible. We know the strengths and weaknesses of what we play on. We don't feel like we need to belong to particular side. Manticore is what we call ourselves.. This is why I don't participate in betting, because I don't care to place myself on one so called faction.Manticores are nonexistent. You can be a non-fanboy and still have an overall preference to one platform. Lots of grey areas for you false fence sitters

Well if we look at review scores (since I can't actually play every game in existence), it's rather apparent that the PC has around 95% of good games being released nowadays, so it's no wonder to me that I play it 95% of the time.
Listening to the original Tropico soundtrack makes me really want to get one of the newer Tropico games.
This music is way better than what's on the Spanish radio in America imo
In terms of features and other things I like the 360 the most out of the three console.I like the Wii the most for it diverse and niche category of games.I barely tried the PS3 or any of it's games, but the online download speeds for the PS3 are horrible.I also don't like certain genres of games on any of the three systems especially sports titles.
