There are benchmarks if you're curious but the differences will vary from game to game. AMD cards are generally considered best bang for your buck for mid-range builds while most high end users will rely on Nvidia. I've been running with the HD 7970 since it first came out. It runs every game I throw at it just fine but it's a bit on the louder side.

sup got a random impulse for a console sim. Was wondering how many of the cars in Gran Turismo 6 to date are premium? No solid number on the net, but it seems to be about 200 only. Forza 4 looks like the better 'game' but the lack of variety in track types and other stuff is a bit annoying.

Did my money drafts on Saturday there and was black out drunk for the end :P (we do a snake and a auction - and I now have well over a grand I need to stick in the bank after work)

I think I'm gonna 100% Tomb Raider. I'm already at 80%. Finding the collectibles and doing optional tombs is more fun than the actual story.

DOTA 2 used to be like heroine for me, but I went to rehab (I think it was called Steam Summer Sale) and I have since stayed clean. Honestly, looking at that shit from the outside, as opposed to the inside, is really... awkward, for me. Like I used to love this game and now whenever I see a thumbnail of it on youtube, or a fanart on deviantart, or an old dota friend starting up dota 2 every single day (and of course I get notified) I cringe. :P

Hmm. I bought Divergent but haven't watched it yet. I watched Need for Speed yesterday instead which was actually pretty cool and had some great race sequences. I'm not real critical of movies and enjoy most unlike the majority of people on the internet. I just like to be entertained.
@blue_hazy_basic: Engine breaking is exactly how it sounds. You are using the engine to slow the truck down. For example, you are coming to roundabout (you remember those right?) you dip the clutch and slip it into 6th, lift the clutch back up and the revs will shoot up but the truck will slow down. It saves on your brakes, plus you can also use a retarder.

In diesels? Yea, its noisy. Not so much in petrol cars. There are other ways of slowing a vehicle down other than using friction brakes. Most trucks here have an exhaust brake. What you are refering to are Jake Brakes. Something that is really only found on US and AUS trucks. Those are loud which is why they are banned in most cities.

Yeah gamefaqs mods are pretty ignorant, but nothing beats the mods over at mmo champion whom have a tendency to randomly ban people.

Whats stopping you? I think someone else here on SW has a CDL to drive these. In the UK, on my license I can drive up to 32 tons which is about 75000lbs but it has to be rigid. I can't drive a tractor trailer unit.
@clyde46: I just don't see myself doing it/getting into it. I might try out law enforcement or if I can get a hold of a friend I'll be going back into the oil business.
