It just feels so empty, and repetitive. I tried co op as well. Still boring.

Borderlands 2 sucks.
Gearbox sucks. They made one game worthy of anyone's time.
There was more than one Brothers In Arms games. Technically Gearbox made 3 games worthy of anyone's time.
3? Road to Hill 30 and Hell's Highway (**** Hell's Highway though) are the ones I know about, what was the other one?
Regardless Brothers in Arms was the only good shit they did. Otherwise they made port jobs based on someone else's work (so a tribute band), made Road to Hill 30 (admittedly legit), and then got hot with the mind numbing gameplay of Borderlands 1 and 2.

Earned in blood was the second Brothers in Arms game

Hell's Highway was dope.
Never heard of it, regardless game sucks Mems, because narrative.

Almost all video game narratives suck. The actual gameplay was fun and different from the countless other FPS games out there. We need more FPS/RTS hybrids
Not that narrative, the narrative that Gearbox made one game worth a spin. Gosh.

NO SOMEONE IS SAYING THEY DON'T LIKE JOURNEY, TIME TO EJECT AND LIVE A HERMIT LIVE FOR SEVERAL HOURS.
Idgaf, hate on them. Their hipster indie shit wouldn't make my top 20 for this gen, much less my all time.
Well, Journey is the only game that I know you like and I hate. lol
Didn't even crack my top 30 bro. Just my top 5 for that respective year. And even that is looking dicey since I still have to play Far Cry 3 from that year.
NO SOMEONE IS SAYING THEY DON'T LIKE JOURNEY, TIME TO EJECT AND LIVE A HERMIT LIVE FOR SEVERAL HOURS.
That's because Journey is a boring "game" made for pseudo-intellectuals who pretend to know shit about art.
hence why it's so loved by the internet and game "journalists" who have never went to an art galley/museum in their lives

I actually haven't played it I just love hating on your favourite games
Jesus Christ, that PSN outage thing escalated quickly.
Yeah, if that bomb threat thing is legit, I don't think the Feds will take too kindly to it. DDOS is one thing, a bomb scare of a commercial flight is a whole different beast
There was a bomb threat, whether or not there actually was a bomb is unknown (it doesn't seem like there was, judging by what GAF is saying).
A bomb threat is in itself pretty fucking serious, so these guys are now way in over their heads. God, I hope they're arrested soon, I don't even care about the PSN outage, but they just crossed all lines.

Oh i doubt there was a bomb. I just meant if the plane was legitimately diverted by a bomb threat. But I just noticed they sent that tweet directly to American Airlines, so yeah that's not something to joke around about
Speaking of lines I beat Spec Ops the line today.
It's ok. Nice to experience some ptsd every once in a while.
I wasn't quite absorved in to the story enough to actually care about the characters though. Especially when the main one is voiced by nathan drake nolan.

Something I didn't notice until it was pointed out to me, the loading screens get more disturbing as you move forward in the game. The main character's shouted orders also get a lot angrier/violent

Yeah the loading screens were a great touch.
Spec Ops is a shitty game that can only sell itself on the possibility of being a critique of current day blockbuster video games.

It wasn't really that bad... The gunplay was good! It's just really repetitive.
Schoolin' you suckas in Mario Kart 8.
F you and your Blue shells.
I'll take a Blue Shell OVER THREE BULLSHIT RED SHELLS
Spec Ops is a subpar shooter with for the most part lame encounter design. It is, however, saved by a strong narrative direction so pervasive that it infects even the most minor and normally mundane of things to make them add to the experience. On that alone I can recommend giving the game a try. Also, The Black Angels are pretty good. Other groups too.
Besides, I bet most people enjoyed worse shooters like Mass Effect 3. >:[

The use of that music was definitely good. Imagine Spec Ops without the rock music, and just a generic mish mash of symphony and synth tracks.... lol. I'm not really a fan of rock in general (and yes I mean every single fucking subgenre D: ) but the soundtrack was perfect for the intense ambiance they were going for.
I've already told parkur about this on Steam.
I found Spec: Ops the line to be the most overrated 'underrated' game I've played. But at the very least I respect Spec Ops: The Line, but did so more than I actually enjoyed it. The gunplay was sure functional and the movement was okay, but that doesnt excuse the silly AI babysitting that the game came with, along with its half assed/useless squad commands.
The dystpioan setting of Dubai deserves more praise than its narrative, it reminded me of the non-fictional Rapture, but with familiar locales and it ended in the most appropriate place. But maybe it struck a chord for me since I've been to Dubai before.
Sooo, for the first time in months I'm going to have significant amounts of free time to game here soon.
I never really played many indie games and I'm in the mood for something with a retro feel. So Shovel Knight and FEZ are most definitely on the agenda.
Any other suggestions?

Terraria! :D Not really retro, but still awesome.

Rogue Legacy, FTL, Hotline Miami to name a few.
Darksiders 2 is good so far. Very good. :D
It's so much better than the first one, really hope they can make a third Darksiders.
@PhazonBlazer: @inb4uall:
Already played some Terraria (been a while though) and I played Hotline TO DEATH. Loved that game.
Rogue Legacy and FTL do look cool as hell though. Never heard of either, that shows you how out of the gaming loop I am.
Thanks dudes! So far that's 4 games to binge on coming up.
@ConanTheStoner: Shovel Knight looks great. I've been playing a lot of Rogue Legacy lately, strong retro feel, highly recommended.
Yeah man, it looks awesome. Just watched the GT review for it, definite buy.
I'm thinking I'll go through FEZ first, then Rogue, then Shovel Knight.
FINALLY about to wrap up a contract that's been keeping me slammed for months now, need some game time badly.
