i think people should be free to do anything to polygons without fear of recourse.
regarding the VOIP section of it, pretty similar to prank phone calls but what's been done about them since the invention of the telephone? so really, i don't think this is even close to being a real issue.

I have such a love hate relationship with Nintendo.
I hate that Nintendo misses out on Big Brand Name Exclusives like Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, or Metal Gear Solid...but I freakin' Love what they do in their own games, like Link in Mario Kart? Fire Emblem DLC? It's like they know what they're doing when it comes to their games and their system, but they just can't seem to find any luck in the 3rd Party department.
STALKER CoP is a damn fine game. I had already finished it a while back, but kinda wanted to do a 2nd playthrough. I tried modding the game, was unsuccessful, the game crashed and crashed until I resentfully deleted the mod files. Probably some incompatibility with the game version since those mods were made a long time ago.
I'll just install "Complete" mod. Misery is too much of an overhaul for my liking.
i think you've got something here monsieur x. maybe it would be more sensible if threads were locked by default, then assessed by a committee, and should the comittee's consensus calculate censorship chokes conversation (or CCCCCC for short) - then they could unlock the thread.

That's questionable. I think some of the comments I made didn't get past the process because I was being salty. I don't understand how censorship benefits the site?

Then again the whole ToU thing removes that right to some extent.
This is why I like Reddit and 4chan to a certain extent. The community is cancer, but at least you can say whatever the hell you want without consequence (aside from meaningless downvotes).
Newest Tropes vs. Women is out. Pretty good video. Don't see a thread but it's probably better that way; this forum is absolutely terrible (even more so) when it comes to social issues in the context of games.
Normally, I stay away from anything that says "THE OPPRESSION IS REAL" to me or any such sensationalist non-sense (The title totallly fits into that), but I have to say that was fairly decent. Pretty long and I had quit halfway to simply read a transcript, but she makes a fair point at the end, that violence against women is barely treated at all with any seriousness aside from a reason to shoot someone (which you've probably done to every other person you've seen). She even goes out of her way to show a game that does focus on the subject of domestic violence, just not towards women, as proof the subject can be treated well in a video game and that video game writers need to actually try and at the very least expand on any 'mini-narratives' introduced if not treat it as the main narrative. For example, you could take that random encounter from GTAV where a woman's being assaulted and have it such that if you decide to be passive (Note: There is no actual choice being presented), a cop later comes by in 20 seconds and arrests everyone, ending the narrative on a moral point without feeling forced. Really, ending any narrative with something better than "Just shoot the fucker already" would do wonders for game writing.
While on the subject of choice without presentation (which we need more of) and going on a complete tangent, I was surprised to find out that some people didn't know there was a choice in the final chapter of Spec Ops: The Line.

i don't engage in hate speech, and quite honestly i feel like i always have to opportunity to get my point across without resorting to hate speech. hate speech is never helpful, so, isn't free speech still free without hate speech?
the biggest problem i can think of with hate speech prohibition is: who is the arbiter deciding what is and isn't hate speech?

Modding Skyrim is so much fun. I can't believe I actually skipped modding Skyrim back when I first bought it on Steam (this year, I got the PS3 version when it released in 2011 or 2012 or whenever the ****).
And I haven't even done any overhaul/gameplay modding. Just graphics/enbs.

This place is good, but it seems to have been abandoned.
There are alot of pitfalls to modding Skyrim, though. It can be really involving and things can go so wrong very easily if you dont know what you're doing/dont have the right 3rd party modding tools/download alot of script heavy mods, download a conflicting mod or just in general download a poorly made mod. I had a few troubles with Skyrim modding more than previous games and I've been using mods for Beth games since playing Morrowind.
My current playthrough is running around 180 ESPs. It's been so stable since I moved to Mod Organizer, started from a clean installation, implemented all the Memory fixes and used LOOT to sort the stuff out.
I feel like I've almost got my Skyrim to where I want it in terms of balance, especially since Im playing a thief (BEST WAY TO PLAY). Except for Economy, which still feels iffy. Just need to find a few more gold sinks or a way to change up loot itemization (or the tradeoffs from tempering). As I'm finding way too many Glass/ebony weapons.
Yea, I just about have Skyrim running the way I want. I got so many mods that Im scared to add new ones. I added like 2 mods the other day and at first my game wouldn't even start then I finally got in and my dual sheath redux was all fucked up.
