As you can see my standards have changed throughout history. Some games that I have played surpassed my then-current standard by so much that even today those games can keep up with my ever-increasing standards

However, as you can see with Tales of Symphonia it had only just met the standard when it had come out. Today it does not whereas Half Life 2 still does.

Get it?

So Are you going to put Tales of Symphonia as one of those few games you dislike? :o

No, Tales of Symphonia doesn't come anywhere close to as bad as the games on my "list". It just has a super cliche story (that's terrible), and an odd battle system.

It's not fundamentally broken like the games on my list.

I never liked the PS2. No matter what I played on it I always found myself going back to my Dreamcast/Gamecube/Xbox because the games were better elsewhere.

And that includes Tales of Symphonia :P

But don't worry! I know how much you like Xenosaga, and I did buy the first two in the series around a year ago. They're party of my backlog, so I'll have to complete them someday.

PS2 is the holy grail of my favorite genre, Survival Horror.

Oh wow. Way to go! When you start Xenosaga, be prepared for a lengthy setup and cutscenes but also keep in mind that there are also some of the most lengthy, epic dungeons in the JRPG genre in the game as well.

I managed to beat all of File 2 with Cindy in hard mode, but starting Very Hard seems impossible unfortunately. It's too bad there's no way to do multiplayer without internation connection.

I wish Capcom would resurrect the series. It's the perfect time.

It was most likely just me at the time, but I had a lot of problems against everything in that game, most of it being my fault. At that time, every enemy I encountered was a nightmare for me.

I'm going to find it and play it again to see how I fare now.
