Picked up arc the lad collection its gonna be my next game to play that and battlefield 2 modern combat gonna get the last of the achievements on that and sell it on glyde.

Does Outbreak 2 have Tank Controls? I don't really recall if Outbreak 1 had them, but I'm just wondering. Oh and Hakan I beat Resident Evil remake about a month ago, definitely my favorite RE game Luxen90

You have the option for tank controls, but it starts without them. Personally, I use the tank controls.

The RE games are pretty amazing given how hard they are. If there's one word to describe the games its "desperation," especially the 2nd game. The 2nd game has one meh level which is the plant one. Don't like that one; dont find it compelling. The final mission in the game is just insane though. There are MINES and you're shot at in the mission. It's just awful, but then again therein lies the challenge.

Some trailers I don't watch because I anticipate disappointment.

It was most likely just me at the time, but I had a lot of problems against everything in that game, most of it being my fault. At that time, every enemy I encountered was a nightmare for me.

I'm going to find it and play it again to see how I fare now.

No, that's just the way the game is. It's hard and the odds are stacked against you.

PS2 is the holy grail of my favorite genre, Survival Horror.

Oh wow. Way to go! When you start Xenosaga, be prepared for a lengthy setup and cutscenes but also keep in mind that there are also some of the most lengthy, epic dungeons in the JRPG genre in the game as well.

Well maybe you need to play Amnesia.

Then you'll start reconsidering what you think you know about survival horror :P

Nothing will replace RE Outbreak for me. Playing on the hardest difficulty will little to no weapons, health or anything. So good. Capcom should just make a third one or at least maybe some kind of collection of the older games with online play.

For me, survival horror isn't just about the actual scare factor, but it's about the strength of the scenario. Even if the RE games weren't the best writing material, they often providing compelling struggles and that's why I prefer the classic games vastly to RE4, because RE4 went out of its way to de-emphasize the struggle.

As far as Amnesia goes, I'm roughly familiar with the game. It's a run-only affair, which I have played the likes of. I'm not sure if I'll play Amnesia, but I don't think it will necessarily change my perspective on Survival Horror considering there are other games like it. In turn, I would reccomend Siren. Siren has a broader scope than simply a game with or without weapons. It requires a multifaceted approach that I view as the height of the genre. The 2nd game was probably a "better game," but not as strong of a survival horror game as the original.

Man Microsoft is officially noted as sitting on their behind when it comes to the 360 now....most recent reason is Netflix and hulu+ Its just insane how much better they are on psn. Forget about being free to use don't really care bout that but the simple fact the programs are just so much better and offer more...the 360 just got hulu+ but the psn version is superior in almost every way.

In the next couple of weeks I should be starting to go back to PC gaming.:) There going to be one lasttry to reboot the old computer with a disk otherwise my family got a new one on sale just in case the reboot doesn't work.I would need to find a video card then.

I would just build one myself, ESP. if you're going to be gaming with it, you save money and it's just a really cool experience.

Honestly I thought RE4 nailed it. It wasn't really survival horror, more an over the top B grade goofy shlock horror, full of wonderfully bad dialogue, cheesy and outrageous enemies and a good tone that didn't take itself too seriously, despite being appropriately moody at times. It's hard to dislike a games dialogue with lines like "Saddler you're small time"
