I cannot speak on behalf of GAF and it's history. I've only been lurking and posting there for 2 months. In those 2 months I've seen and had countless conversations with legitimate disagreements. You can actually have a discussion there without needing to steer clear of certain aspects of the community. Tally up the amount of controversies arising from both forums and I'd bet ERA comes out on top by far.

My original point in posting all this was to underline that it isn't just stupidity. There's a serious issue with how people are communicating online and feel like they have free reign to spill people's lives all over the floor. Both sides are guilty, but ERA is one of the absolute worst offenders among gaming communities. Heck you've got threads even on your own forum pointing this out, it's almost a miracle that they aren't locked (probably has to do with all the crap that went down last week).

I really don't see why not. Even with minimal reviews, it shows an endemic within the media that is easily seen elsewhere. It's an example of clear media bias in this day and age. Jeez, I read an English newspaper the other day, and it had the same leanings.

Of course they do, and it goes both ways. But your example of some large media bias shouldn't only have 6 critics on it, and out of the 5 negative reviews, already 1 of them is from a conservative source.

I know it goes both ways, I said it in my post. I specifically said media in general. You don't have to dig far to see a heavy lean within NA politics at the moment. It's all swings and roundabouts.

Well to be honest it wouldn’t surprise me if people were giving that Chappelle comedy special high reviews simply because they felt that it may have triggered certain people. For me I need more from my comedy then just that. I watched it and personally I just really didn’t find it all that funny at all. I got a few chuckles out of it later on with the whole shotgun bit and the birdshot/buckshot stuff but none of the other stuff really hit my funny bone and just felt kind of ho-hum flat.

Chapelle always been hit or miss as a stand up. He's a great story teller, but that's about the only thing he's particularly great at as a comedian. He had a legendary skit show, but no one has ever really ranked any of his stand up specials against any all timers for fairly obvious reasons.

He had some quality jokes in there, I chuckled at the alphabet people, the another one line, and "if you can kill this mother fucker than I can abandon him". But while I'm actually pretty fine with punch down comedy, I think people are reasonable when they criticize his trans jokes. They aint funny, there was nothing clever or anything about "chinese dude in a black man's body", like in terms of flow you couldn't really argue it had a unique starting point, build up, and then punch line. It was slap dash out the gate.

Otherwise, Rotten Tomatoes has 6 reviews, one of them is a top reviewer on that site for his stand up. Because the other sources are a bunch of fucking no-name shits so who gives a ****?

Instead focus on showing them why it's wrong and give them the opportunity to grow instead of tearing them apart (which happens to be a very liberal mindset). Allow the law to carry out justice. If the law fails, then protest and make appeals. It's not perfect but it's magnitudes better than Twitter justice.

Game is meh tbh. The lack of a weapon triangle is dumb, and the monastery shit is mad drawn out and just adds tedium to the game. The multiple upgrading options is ultimately a lot of redundant bullshit, since there are obviously optimized paths for these characters that the old games just did by having them already be a class and learning in that class.
